# Noggle Rail - Itapetininga Skate Park ⌐◨-◨
**Introduction**:
Skateboarding in Itapetininga (Brazil) has a history marked by resilience, unity, and transformation. For many years, the city’s skatepark was a neglected space, with poor infrastructure and often associated with social issues. Despite that, it became the site of one of the most powerful grassroots movements for skateboarding in the interior of São Paulo state.

Through the union of local skaters and the work of the [Skate Transforma Vidas](https://www.instagram.com/skatetransformavidas?igsh=dWFmcnRwbm5ucnE3) project, the park has been gradually revitalized, with renovations carried out through volunteer labor and community efforts. Itapetininga began hosting events with athletes from various states and became home to nationally recognized skaters like [Isabelly Ávila](https://www.instagram.com/isabellyskate09?igsh=OTgzc2tqMGtidjlq) (Brazilian national team) and [Zion Furegato](https://www.instagram.com/zionskateboarding?igsh=MXVqams3dzFkM2hlNA==) (junior national team), both of whom live and train in the city.
Today, the park is a local and regional symbol of how skateboarding can be a tool for inclusion, development, and social change. The ongoing renovation, carried out through a partnership between the community and the local Sports Department, marks a new chapter in this space’s legacy.

**Objective:**
This proposal aims to install a new feature at the park: the Noggle Rail. Inspired by the Gnars symbol, this custom-designed metal rail will serve both a technical and symbolic purpose—representing the presence and support of Web3 culture in a grassroots and active urban space. It will enhance the skatepark’s identity and provide new opportunities for progression.

**Justification:**
The Noggle Rail will be installed at a strategic point in the skatepark and used by beginner and professional skaters alike. The Itapetininga skatepark is visited daily by dozens of skaters and has already produced standout talents like Isabelly Ávila and Zion Furegato, who live and train in the city. The presence of the Noggle Rail will be extensively documented in audiovisual content, marking a new milestone for the park and its visibility.

**Media Exposure:**
The Noggle Rail will be inaugurated with a Best Trick event and a special activation for Go Skate Day (World Skateboarding Day), bringing together the local community, invited athletes, and the general public.
Media coverage will include:
• Professional video and photo documentation
• Posts on the social media accounts of athletes, organizers, and supporters
• Distribution on Gnars Web2 and Web3 platforms
• Promotion on Garcia Rodrigues’ personal channels and the official accounts of Skate Transforma Vidas
This action will expand the park’s visibility and strengthen international recognition of the impactful work being done in Itapetininga.

**Technical Details of the Installation:**
• Location: Public skatepark in Itapetininga, São Paulo, Brazil
• Feature: Noggle Rail – Custom-designed metal rail
• Material: Welded steel with protective paint finish
• Estimated installation time: 5 business days
• Total cost: 1,700 USD, covering materials, labor, full execution,
and professional photo and video coverage during the fabrication and installation process,
as well as at the park inauguration
(Best Trick event) and during the Go Skate Day celebration on June 22, 2025
**Final Considerations:**
The installation of the Noggle Rail will be both symbolic and functional for the Itapetininga skatepark. More than a new obstacle, it will be a permanent representation of the collaboration between grassroots skateboarding, urban culture, and the Web3 community.
As a professional skateboarder and president of the Skate Transforma Vidas project, I see in this proposal a meaningful opportunity for Gnars to become part of this story. Our connection began with [Proposal 37](https://nouns.build/dao/base/0x880fb3cf5c6cc2d7dfc13a993e839a9411200c17/vote/37), when we traveled to Uganda delivering essential donations that supported five local communities. That mission opened the door to an ongoing connection between Brazil and Uganda through skateboarding.

Now it’s time to begin this work in Itapetininga, and further strengthen this bond. Once again, we are contributing significantly to the renovation through volunteer work and donated materials. The Noggle Rail will stand as a symbol of this shared creation, partnership, and long-term purpose.
