Gabe is the Director & CTO of EXTAG Pty Ltd, a Perth based software platform that assists companies transition into a digital world.
After 20 years in the IT infrastructure space, from helping people setup their computer to IT management on multi million $ resource sector projects it was time to do something different. With an interest in business, creating a software startup seemed the logical thing to do.
Solving a subscription management problem for his wife’s Graphic Design business, Gabe’s first foray into software development in 2016 was building TrackMySubs, an online platform for managing subscriptions which he created with a small team of student developers.
He grew the business and later sold it in 2022 to an international buyer.
His current project, EXTAG, began in 2018 when Gabe met his business Partner Erik whom by combining expertise thought they were on to something exciting. 5 years later and EXTAG is a thriving WA business with a unique software platform servicing the resource sector, with opportunities to expand to a whole range of other sectors.
Along the way Gabe has been involved in the startup community giving multiple presentations & podcasts, as well as being an active member of Toastmasters, Mentoring new business owners, and coaching SME’s through digital change.
He is also an enthusiastic participant of a niche sport called Ultra running, and enjoys heading out on his motorbike for camping trips.
