# The most important consideration when choosing any career or job is having a high income.
> To what extent do you agree or disagree?
## Model answer
It is widely accepted that, for most people, their daily working lives will not be spent in their dream jobs. Despite this, I do not feel that people should instead prioritise becoming a high earner above all other concerns.

陳述個人看法
To begin with, I strongly believe that people need stimulation in their daily working lives in order to feel a sense of reward. Very few of us can go through an entire career staying in a position or an industry that we find boring purely for the financial incentive. Secondly, there are so many people who see their working life as a search for fulfilment and contentment in helping others, rather than a search for wealth. It seems unlikely that the priority for, say, every nurse or teacher in the world is to become well-off, and jobs such as these are rarely extremely well-paid.

Despite this, some would argue that those people who have families to support should always prioritise earning a high income; after all, it means securing their children's future. Others point out that, as the job market becomes increasingly unstable across the globe, it is vital to earn more and therefore save more. However, I do not agree that a good salary should necessarily be the number one concern for everyone. Too many people become preoccupied with the next pay rise or career move, and eventually become unhappy or even depressed, neither of which helps them to save or to provide for their family.

In summary, earning as much money as is humanly possible should not be anyone's main concern. Granted, it arguably brings financial stability, for individuals and for their families, but it is simply not worth tolerating a lifetime of unhappiness at work purely for the money.

1. People should keep in mind what they want to get out of from their job.
know your passion - work longer and actually enjoy working
2. People who work for money might not be able to enjoy the comfortable life which they have been working for for many years because of how stressful the job is.

## Version
Nowadays, salary and job position may be concerned as a sign of social status, being successful, or even the ultimate life goals. However, I don't think that people should envy those who have high payment without thinking of what they have deserted and I don't think people should think of the payment as the most important thing when they are choosing jobs.
Before we take a job, I believe that everyone should consider what they are really working for. People usually want to find some sense of accomplishment in their life, have more free time, or have some chance to serve others to feel fulfilled. We can see these qualities in professions such as **firefighters**, teachers, and farmers. They take their job as a life-long career without being well-paid. (tends to be happier) At the same time, there is a group of people frequently change their jobs because they are unhappy about their long working hours, bad working environments or they are simply not interested in their jobs anymore. In comparison, people knowing what they really want to get out from work can continue to be passionate on their work in a longer term than those who work just for the money.
There is another kind of suggestion that people should endure high paying jobs that people don't like for a few years and after that people can do whatever they want. It doesn't sound like a bad suggestion and I believe that many high-paid employees are doing their jobs for this reason. However, they may sacrifice more than they thought. It may later happen after many years of hard work, they will end up not being able to enjoy the ideal future they thought they would have. We see that many engineers or doctors either get ill after a few years of work and can't spend their money or they are too old to have the courage to chase their dreams after they finally retire.
In summary, there are many sides that you have to consider when you choose a job and I don't think anyone should give up what they are truly working for in exchange of high payment. I firmly believe that people should keep in mind what they really want to get out of from their jobs instead of focusing on the paycheck. They can achieve more compared to doing a job only for money.
