While we're not surprised, your enthusiasm and energy once again dazzled us. Back in May, we had presented the concept and architecture of scaling compute and storage capacity through specialized networks while preserving global ledger with base layer consensus. This time, our conversations centered around how we can leverage such architecture and enable next-gen applications. A handful of projects shared their approaches to onchain AI/ML and scaling in general, building atop not only the world supercomputer architecture but also a new standard [ERC-7007](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7007) that researchers from Hyper Oracle and Privacy & Scaling Exploration team had previously proposed. Throughout the Community Day, we saw a growing appetite for functional, real-life applications. Honoring your feedback from the May event, we had carved out time for more interactions and discourses in Singapore. They don't stop there. We will travel to DevConnect in Istanbul, Turkey to further exchange ideas and cross-pollinate in different regions. > We are calling for permissionless, open source projects who are interested to speak on decentralized storage, computation scaling, or onchain AI/ML at the next Community Day. Please reach out via Telegram. ## Summary We featured a curated roster of speakers: Much appreciate their time and insights! See what you have missed below, [in order of appearance](https://lu.ma/wscd1). ### Bringing AI/ML onchain for adoption - [@DelphinusLab](https://twitter.com/DelphinusLab) [@Zkonduit](https://twitter.com/zkonduit) [@HyperOracle](https://twitter.com/HyperOracle) We kicked off the Community Day with an opening panel from [Sinka Gao](https://twitter.com/sinka2022) (Delphinus Lab), [Jason Morton](https://twitter.com/jasonmorton) (EZKL/Zkonduit), and [Kartin Wong](https://twitter.com/0xKartin) (Hyper Oracle). They dove into the current state of onchain AI/ML, from progress to limitations, to the future. Check out respective projects and watch full recording here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uT8G0mp1DWU ![Opening panel at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1eS5YMeT.png) ### ERC-4844: Addressing demand for data availability - [@EigenLayer](https://twitter.com/eigenlayer), [@EthStorage](https://twitter.com/ethstorage) [Anthurine](https://twitter.com/anthurine) (EthStorage) and [Viyas](https://twitter.com/vyas_krishnan) (EigenLayer) honed in on the hot topic of data availability and opportunities in the space. They went over their upcoming collaborations with various projects and milestones. ERC-4844 is a new transaction format that contains a large amount of data that cannot be accessed by EVM execution. Read more [here](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-4844). ![EthStorage and Eigenlayer discussed over data availability](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/B1ipgKRya.jpg) ### What's zkML REALLY for? - [@drCathieSo_eth](https://twitter.com/drCathieSo_eth) Cathie offered a new perspective on how we can think about zkML: Fairness. She challenged us to consider this dimension when approaching zkML and arrive at a new set of use cases. As part of the [Privacy & Scaling Exploration team](https://appliedzkp.org/) at Ethereum Foundation, Cathie's looking to meet researchers in ZK, ML, and the intersection of both. (Reach out to her if you have any experimental zkML ideas). She is a reviewer of the World Supercomputer litepaper. Hyper Oracle's latest web integrated development environment, where builders can code in AssemblyScript and generate zero-knowledge proofs without writing circuits nor DSLs, aims at empowering the development of future-proof dApps. Expanding smart contract compute capacity is one of the keys to bringing AI/ML onchain. [Try it today](https://twitter.com/HyperOracle/status/1706254441886666791). ![msfew presented at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/ry0FltMxa.png) ###### Source: msfew, link to [presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/176YGrbVvQoVm37McFbpfMXpf1qctwp0r/view?usp=sharing) ### AI generated content in the music industry - [@mkkb2156](https://twitter.com/mkkb2156) Inspired by [AIGC NFT ERC-7007](https://eips.ethereum.org/EIPS/eip-7007), Teddy and his team at 7007.Studio strive to become the Yuga Labs in music. Bringing large language model onchain is no longer a dream. The team has experimented and successfully issued onchain inference through a mechanism called opML (optimistic machine learning). It is a highly resource-efficient way to create AIGC NFT. We received a handful of follow-up questions on [Telegram](https://t.me/world_super_computer) and saw a few of you had already gotten your hands on opML! See it in action [here](https://www.7007.studio/). ![Teddy Duan at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/HyTuvYMla.png) ###### Source: Teddy Duan, link to [presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1_0_6sgVruKGQG5b4aq3wnAxEUCf_8jV0/view?usp=sharing) ### New breed of NFT: ERC-7007 implementation - [@ChenWenKang1](https://twitter.com/ChenWenKang1) [@totorovirus](https://twitter.com/totorovirus) [@cheechyuan.eth](https://twitter.com/cheechyuanang) Another team, another form of AIGC NFT! Users can now breed new NFTs by selecting images through genetic algorithm on ERC-7007. [ZenetikNFT](https://ethglobal.com/showcase/zenetiknft-1ph5r) team walked us through their [hackathon project](https://github.com/jinmel/ethparis2023), from motivation to live demo, to lessons learned. Something hackers should know: Don't try to be fancy with zkML, especially at hackathon! At this past EthCC, nonetheless, the team had taken home several prizes including the best use case of Metamask. In the future, the team may try out opML and other AIGC possibilities. We look forward to all of your suggestions to improve ERC-7007 on [Ethereum Magicians](https://ethereum-magicians.org/t/eip-7007-zkml-aigc-nfts-an-erc-721-extension-interface-for-zkml-based-aigc-nfts/14216) and seeing more AIGC NFT applications soon! ![ZenetikNFT at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/r1tN2Y7l6.jpg) ###### Source: ZenetikNFT team, link to [presentation](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TpTEAYQRu7U) ### Lightning talk: PADO Lab - [@_xiang_xie](https://twitter.com/_xiang_xie) [PADO Labs](https://www.padolabs.org/) is a privacy-preserving data operator. The team proposes a novel approach to interactive ZK (iZK) for attesting data and thus reduces the resources required for executing ZKP in browser or mobile. It also supports data retrieval via standard TLS protocol and MPC. Leveraging various technologies, PADO Labs contributes to the ecosystem of world supercomputer by providing secure real-world data sources. ![Xiang Xie at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/ByQzwO7g6.png) ###### Source: Xiang Xie, link to [presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1wDWDQjYruJnwLspsuXROu0I7qzHwZOHm/view?usp=sharing) ### Lightning talk: 0xhacked - [@cityu_dimitry](https://twitter.com/cityu_dimitry) White hats unite: Ever heard of 0xhacked? [0xhacked](https://www.0xhacked.com/) is your (trusted) trustless war room. Pun intended. Through ZKP, exploit details will not be disclosed. This way, your findings is protected and you can be fairly rewarded along with the proof of exploit. 0xhacked helps keep the industry safe and every project potentially has a need for it. Take a look at the deck on what's been done so far. The team is currently running CTF, too. ![Dimitry at World Supercomputer Community Day](https://hackmd.io/_uploads/SJmK337xp.png) ###### Source: Dimitry, link to [presentation](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1PxoAieR-XMPKI_QsbK3v_aPowQM-8rQT/view?usp=sharing) ## Thank you To close, we thank our co-hosts dao5 and EthStorage, our community partners: ABCDE Capital, DWF Ventures, and CoinLive, as well as our guests for making this Southeast Asia edition a memorable one.
