### Highlights

- Noun holders will have **token-weighted voting power** (think Reddit up/down votes)
- **All existing Discourse posts brought in**, nothing historical will be lost
- User profile will display **on-chain reputation** information (Nouner/delegate, vote power, etc.)
- Post discovery enabled by **rich tagging, filtering, and machine learning**
- **Capture Discord conversations:** post discord messages to AddressBoard in **"1-click"** via our Discord bot
- Longer term goal: **1-click on-chain proposal submission** native to this platform

### Problems with Discourse

There are many holes in the DAO’s current stack of Discord + Discourse. The biggest holes we’ve identified after speaking with various members of the community are:

1. **On-chain reputation and influence do not translate into Discourse**. This has resulted in multiple proposals getting enthusiastic feedback from non voting community members only be be later voted down on chain.
2. **Information is scattered across many locations** including Discord, Discourse, On-chain proposals, etc.
3. **Discovering interesting posts is difficult** and will only get more difficult as the volume of proposals increases.

### Our Solution

#### On-chain reputation

- **Display profile with Delegate / Nouner status**, vote weight, and ENS on posts and comments
- Soft signal preference via **Nouns token weighted voting** (gas free)
- All enabled via 1 time non-blind message sign
- Profile pages that integrate on-chain and on-platform information

#### Centralized information

- **Index all current Discourse posts**, prop house props and on-chain props into our system
- Create a Discord bot (shown above) to allow **"1 click" capture of critical Discord conversations** and move them to a location better suited for structured discussion

#### Improved Discoverability
- Work with Roko team (we're in talks) to help surface posts by user interests
- Advanced tagging system to **allow users to curate a "feed" based on interests**
- [Longer term] get a daily Discord DM with a curated set of posts for you

Our solution, AddressBoard, already has a live beta that's being piloted by some Nounish communities. We want to use the funds from Prop House to help us expand and customize our existing solution to perfectly solve the needs of Nouns.

### Team

**Brian is a Nouns engineering resident where he leads the development of nouns.wtf** (this work was done outside of the scope of his residency). He also created AddressForm, Google Forms for web3, which in addition to being used by many Nounish communities (including Prop House) is the intellectual predecessor to this product.

Before crypto, he worked at a "big tech" company where he worked on all things search and discovery (so helping people find the right props for them is his happy place).

He'll be assisted by a small rag tag team which includes his brother (also a talented dev), who has been fully Nouns pilled through the process of working on this project :)

### Roadmap

1. Phase I [ETA: X]
- Configure our working beta to the Nouns use case
- Users can post, comment, and upvote all using their on-chain Nounish identities
- Index all existing Discourse posts and comments into our system
- Rich media in posts
3. Phase II [ETA: Y]
- Create rich profile pages for each user marrying on-chain and on-platform information
- Create Discord bot to allow users to capture a conversation in Discord and port it to AddressBoard with a single command
5. Phase III [ETA: Z]
- Create a rich tagging system to allow users to filter by their interest
- Create a rich search system to help users discover props
- Extend our Discord bot (potentially using Roko) to DM opted-in users a curated feed of posts based on their interested
- Automated back up all data to ipfs / arweave

### Medium Term Ideas
- Make it easier for builders to get sponsors. In addition to a "Seeking Sponsor" tag, allow Nouners / delegates to "1 click" put an AddressBoard post on-chain as a prop
- Automated tagging system to further increase discoverability (e.g. funded by small grants, seeking small grants funding, etc. )
- Reward users who frequently contribute to the conversation with POAPs (we've already built much of this logic for AddressForm so the port would be trivial) or even ETH
