    # App Design ## New App Ideas - Evaluate and Categories 1. Forced interaction content app "Swipely/Swipr/Hive" - **Description**: User can view photos and videos and can only navigate through content by swiping right/left. Comments for a post can be viewed by swiping up. 2 Main modes: Explore Feed and Follow Feed. - **Category**: Social Networking/Entertainment - **Mobile**: Camera is used to share images and videos. Push notifications when people interact with your content. - **Story**: Creates more interaction on posts. Disliked content will be taken down. - **Market**: Young adults - **Habit**: Users will open this app many times in a day- content is very short and when using the "hot" sort only the best new content will be shown. They will also be able to post their own microblog content. The average user will mostly consume but probably create at least once a week. - **Scope**: This app will be challenging but it is probably possible to build by the end. A stripped down version would still be entertaining. 2. OWC: Objective Workout Calculator - **Description**: From a set of requested data, calculate the workouts and diets that are fun & feasible for people of all levels of fitness. It will inform them of the science of each workout with reliable sources and documentation/papers regarding it. - **Category**: Fitness - **Mobile**: Users will enter their level of progression, goals, and preferences so the app can analyze the data to curate a workout schedule that engages them while challenging them. They can share their progress and their own user-generated conten on their own channels. - **Market**: Young adults - **Habit**: Users will open the app daily - **Scope**: Basic skeleton using API requests for workouts and papers. It will only recommend workouts rather than allow users to create content 3. Grounded - **Description**: A Common Ground Finder: Discussion app for people to pick a topic then find a stance as curated by other people. Once you've picked a stance you view counter-arguments that other people have curated- in a forum style. After viewing counter-arguments you can create counter arguments for the initial view other people take and people with your original view can vote to curate those counter-arguments. - **Category**: Education/Social - **Mobile**: Mobile-First, Push when people interact with your content. - **Market**: Could be used in schools or by any individual. Could be expanded beyond politics. - **Habit**: People are checking the app constantly to read counter-argument responses to their posts or view votes on your posts. - **Scope**: Would be possible to build. Simplified version would be far less interesting. 4. Tenant finder - **Description**: An app for landlords to find tenants or for rentors to find roommates. Features would include home maintenance, tracking payments, safety regulation, contacting the tenant or landlord - **Category**: Social/Productivity - **Mobile**: Push notifications/alerts - **Market**: For people who manage several properties and need to keep track of them or peope looking to rent and have more communication between the landlord - **Habit**: Tenants will frequently check for new offers and landlords will check on potential tenant profiles. - **Scope**: Would be possible to build with less features, adding on payments and safety regulation would make it difficult 5. Online Ninja - **Description**: Face against other people with our camera and try to knock out their avatar. Uses the camera to map the human body to a character. Dodge your opponent’s attack their turn and try to hit their arm your turn. The one who loses both arms loses! - **Category**: Entertainment - **Mobile**: Uses the camera - **Market**: Young adults that enjoy Ninja. Young adults that enjoy playing Ninja will love this app. - **Habit**: Ranking system - **Scope**: The app scope will require camera AR and virtual mapping to calculate the hits/actions. ## Top 3 New App Ideas Natasha's top 3 - Common ground finding app - Twitter/Meme/tiktok app with forced interaction via Tinder-eque controls for navigating content - Objective Workout Calculator - Shows recommended diets and workouts for a specific body goal based on user fitness level and progression. Users can share snippets of their life modified with filters temporarily in a story or permanently on a post. Friends and peers love using this app. - **Market:** Anyone with a phone that can take pictures and an unfiltered internet connection. This app provides a lot of value to most young adults. - **Habit:** An average user will open this app multiple times in a day- to consume.
