## What does this doc contain?

As you know, getting an off-campus internship/job offer is not very easy. You might be giving several OAs and filling out multiple forms but still not receiving any response. To tackle this, you can reach out to recruiters and Software Engineers would could possibly give you a referral or even schedule an interview directly with you.

This doc contains templates and examples of messages which you can forward to them. If executed strategically and consistently, you are sure to get positive responses from most of them!

Now, this doc would cover mainly three parts -

## Reaching out to people on LinkedIn

_Tip : Try building your connections as wide as possible. It would be great if you have connections in every company of your liking._

Firstly, make sure to include any relevant job links you found for that particular company. If you don't find any openings, then just write some generic sentences and ask them to consider you when there is any opening. Assuming that you have the person you want to message already in your connections list, you can start the conversation by sending them the following message :

#### NOTES :

* Modify your resume and the above messages as per the job profile you're applying to.
* If you don't find any openings, modify the messages accordingly and ask them to consider you when there is any relevant opening.
* Stay organised and keep a track of the people you've messaged so that you can send a follow-up message on time.
* Mention metrics and numbers wherever possible. It makes you stand out.

## Cold Mailing

It is pretty much the same as reaching out to people on LinkedIn, only in this case you can go in a little more detail about yourself and your achievements.

The most important part of a cold-mail is the email subject, since that's the first thing the receiver would see. Try to make it consice and to-the-point.
