Following the latest events, I think it would be time to philosophize a bit. But first of all, a little description. For me, the notion of a friend is a little different, I have a lot of acquaintances, but only 2 friends, so I don't send friend requests, and I automatically accept the received ones. The reason I started with this description; checking comments today, I wanted to write a comment. I made an effort, I wrote it, and when there ... comments are only allowed by friends (LOL)! It's okay. We do not let it get us down, and we write a post. Anyway, a sketch was spinning in my head for a few hours, and now a comment about what was going on (here and below I will not give names):
> I am a little clueless why a hiccup in the Whaleshares platform is always the end of the world, while on other platforms it is just a hiccup.
`I would make an assumption, and here appears a big minus to the TIP system. If there were messages like that on platforms with the voting system, they would immediately receive a lot of downvotes, they would be added to all blacklists and that's it, they would practically stop working on those platforms, plus, as far as I remember, there are also reputation system, which with each downvote decreases ... and in addition to all would have been blocked in all chats related to that platform. We have such an example here, which proves in every way that he did not say any words (we do not give names).`
A question arose "What is the basic element of a project, in our case Whaleshares", I consider, and I could prove this, that the basic element of any project is the COMMUNITY. it depends on how / how much / where the project will go. And for those who consider that the project is dead only for the reason that at the moment (for technical reasons, which were not spoken about), can not SELL a few coins from long-forgotten accounts: Yes you are right, the project is dead FOR YOU, and it's not from now on, it's from the moment you stopped participating in the community activity here.
Another sensitive part is the TIP system, from the beginning I want to emphasize that I know projects that have borrowed and successfully implemented this system. Every project fights abuse, there are a lot of methods, everyone does it in their own way (see one of the methods above). So first of all this is one (and I think the most important) reason why this system was implemented. As for the economic side, let's look at an example. Correct me if I'm wrong (as I have said many times: I am old and know only the basic computational operations).
Suppose we have a chain with a voting system with 2 users that have an equal amount of coin (the amount here does not matter). There is a daily show of 100 coins that is divided equally 50 author / 50 curator, user1 publishes a post, user2 votes the post, so in the end, user1 receives 50 coins, user2 receives 50 coins, but if user2 does not vote the post, the next day there will already be 200 and the same will be added to the daily broadcast in the pool until one of the users votes (ATTENTION only on the post) a post written by another user. so far it has been the ideal situation, the situation can appear when one of the 2 users deals with the autoup (and here is the abuse). now the same situation with TIP system, 100 coins are issued daily, and each user receives 50 coins. He receives them regardless of whether he wrote a post or not, and he already decides what to do with them, to offer a post, to offer it to a user (you can't vote for the user in the voting system), or to increase your stake. So as you can see, from an economic point of view, the difference is not too big, and I could say that the voting system loses a little of this battle. It would be more of a psychological problem in the middle, to offer money from a common fund is simpler than to give it to you, even if it is the same amount. Here I would add to the minuses (see the beginning of the post) the TIP system.
Continuing the physiological idea, another spin in the eyes of some is the dev fund account. I remember, it is the account where coins that were not requested go for ~ 24 hours. so, if we look at other similar projects (Graphene), the daily broadcast is divided into several pools, 1. Payment for witness (we will return to them) 2. Author Pool, 3. Curator Pool, 4. DevPool, so what else is Pool, here's an account. The difference? practically does not exist, there is only the same psychological barrier, as they exist and are not shared with users (desirable of course to some only, and as much as possible), In fact, the resources in this account/pool are used for project developers who have a connection with the given project (in our case Whaleshares. I have been here for ~ 6 months, but I have not seen even an idea proposed by someone, not to mention projects made or at least started (they can and do exist but no one knows about them) So if someone wants some resources from that account, propose ideas/projects, and if the project is accepted by the community for sure you will receive. how can some ideas related to the chain be accepted? This is where the witnesses come in. In addition to the function of generating blocks, more exercise and the function of receiving decisions related to the blockchain, so giving the vote of a witness you agree to the decisions that it he, if a user does not agree with the "policy" pursued by the witness withdraws his vote and gives it to another .. what happens when some of the witnesses do not accept the proposal ... if it is not very principled .. comply and move on .. if it is In principle, another community is formed and goes on different paths, each with its "leaders". A very good example Steem and Hive. So from here, it is concluded that the witness assumes a very great responsibility ... this is decentralization ...
The next problem, what to do in the case of the low coin price or rather what dictates the coin price, I am not a trader, and few understand the terms there, so I will say how I understood. Someone said that "A person must come to buy the current coins and in this way the" price "is imposed. I consider that the price of the coin is dictated by the community, how many projects use this coin. and that has nothing to do with the "official" team as someone called it, in our case, the official team, we are all from this community, and if we want the price of the project to increase we should all do at least something positive, not to go to war and wait for someone to come and overnight they will still get rich. Not so long ago such a person came ... I don't know but I guess he had some ideas. he tried to do something, but seeing that everyone is indifferent or even against, against, he left everything, and moved to something else ... In all and in all constructive discussions are welcome, even if it is critical, as a For example, very few remember that a bot was created for Discord that allows you to provide TIP for chat messages, by the way, for those for the voting system, such a thing would be a bit difficult to achieve, and? the bot has been created, it is used by only one person, and it also criticizes/proposes something, 1 (5) out of approximately 400 active users in the last month. and after all this we want the price of the coin to rise. there is no need for the "official" team, everything is decided by the community (users). so as a conclusion. It's all up to us, if someone starts something / creates something / proposes something, we don't have to jump on it with all sorts of "encouraging" things and then any urge to do something disappears. Let's be better and more receptive
P.S. You do not need to send TIP to this post (especially if you expect me to do the same thing instead, unlikely), if you want to approach this post (eg to show that you liked it) you can send TIP with the minimum amount of 0.001 WLS, I will not consider it an insult, you can comment (even if the comment will be like "it's been raining all day with us"). any criticism is welcome. Thank you for your attention, until we meet again. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, those who helped me translate/make out this post
