Ulsan Hyundai's "Hong Myung-bo" continued to dominate the K League 1 by winning three consecutive games over controversy over racist remarks by some of its main players in the social media space. Ulsan, led by head coach Hong Myung-bo, won 3-1 at home against Daegu FC in the 19th round of the "Hana One Q K League 1 2023" at Munsu Stadium in Ulsan on the 24th. Ulsan, which recorded 15 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses (47 points), continued to take the overwhelming lead by maintaining a gap of more than 10 points with the second-place team.

Ulsan, which has been on a roll with both performance and box office success, caused controversy over racist remarks on social media by its main agents Lee Kyu-sung, Park Yong-woo and Lee Myung-jae during the A match break. Recently, the Korea Professional Football Federation's reward and punishment committee imposed a one-game suspension and a fine of 15 million won on the three players. The match against Daegu is Ulsan's first official game since the incident took place.

Coach Hong Myung-bo suffered from some unexpected player controversy, but he was the first to bow as the head of the team. It promised to prevent a recurrence. Although he was not disciplined by the professional federation prior to the match against Daegu, he drew attention by imposing his own disciplinary action (one game suspension) on Jung Seung-hyun, the captain and center back who participated in the conversation on social media. It also made an unusual withdrawal from the team, saying, "A complete ban on social media."

Ulsan, which showed strong solidarity despite various crises under Hong's system, was more responsible than ever as players and coaches became one ahead of the match against Daegu. Head coach Hong put Kim Min-hyuk and Swedish foreign Boyanic in the waist where Lee Kyu-sung and Park Yong-woo were missing at the same time. It is the first time in more than two months that Boyanic has played in the K League 1 since the match against Gwangju FC on April 30. The left defense without Lee Myung-jae was moved by Seol Young-woo from the existing right. And Kim Tae-hwan, who had been groaning due to injury, returned to the right defense and started after a long time since the match against Gangwon FC on May 9.

Boyanichi and Kim Tae-hwan played the leading roles in the victory. Two minutes into the kickoff, Kim Tae-hwan scored the first goal with a surprise left-footed mid-range shot from the right side of the penalty box. It is the first time in more than three years that he has scored a goal in the K League since the match against Daegu on September 27, 2020. Ulsan, which took the lead, later had a numerical advantage when Daegu striker Edgar stepped on Kim Min-hyuk's foot and was sent off. And in the 20th minute of the second half, Boyanic dug into the opponent's gate with an exquisite dribble and connected it to Baco on the left, and he split the goal with a right-footed shot. Boyanichi, who has not been noticed by Hong for his jagged performance, not only scored his first attack point in his K League debut, but also shone with a 97.6% pass success rate and the No. 1 ball acquisition (7).

Ulsan will surpass not only its second consecutive loss in the K League 1 this season, but also the FA Cup and the Asian Champions League in the second half of the year. The revival of players like Boyanichi and Kim Tae-hwan, who have been slowing down, will serve as an opportunity to further expand the range of players' availability. Although the main agent was caught up in the disgrace, Ulsan, which was united with a sincere apology and responsibility, succeeded in making anxiety a new blessing. 토토
