    - **What is the problem you are solving?** o1: Users having difficulty navigating SaaS products to execute certin tasks. o2: solveing the challenge of users (espically new users) struggling with complex SaaS interfaces by providing a more user-friendly way to do actions with the software/product features. - **So what are you working on?** we are building a way to let your SaaS product's users chat with your product functionality and execute stuff via natural language/text, kind of AI copilot that can action. - **How big can it be?** Mention Shopify, windows, office360 - then mention that this market will be be massive + the positioning . USD 58.2 billion by 2030 in the coming 6 years it will grow x7 times. - **Who needs what you're making?** SaaS products for better converison rate, SaaS products with not-so-easy flows and numbers. Enterprise applications with too many customizations and long onboarding times. - **Someone just showed us an idea like this right before you guys. I don't like it. What else do you have?** Yea we are not surpirsed that you found something similar, it's a big area and large companies are already doing it so other startups will riase too. What sets us apart is that we are plying the long run, and this is why we build open copilot flows definition (to be the swagger of copilots) (Continue from there) . + discord stuff. ## How much money could you make per year? We are aiming to do ~690k dollar in ARR, 0.3*600,0000K = ~200k$ / year Aim: Self-Serve Copilot Revenue: 500 self-serve customers x $100 per month x 12 months = $600,000 in total revenue from self-serve customers over 12 months. With a 30% profit margin, your potential profit would be 30% of $1,200,000, which is $360,000. Enterprise Customer Revenue: We start contracting at $2500 per enterprise customer, we hope to achieve a revenue 300,000k So, with a 30% profit margin, we can make $90,000 - **How are you understanding customer needs?** By talking to them and analyzing the data trends.(Continue from there) + discord + select program + guildquality + GH feature requests. - **How will customers and/or users find out about you?** rn Social mediea and search, and when they need me (hopfully soon) - **How do you know customers need what you're making?** 2 axcels 1) the tracation on GH and the product (but github stars are great until they are not) 2) We talked with users like (QG, Zid, Femto) and mention the use cases. 3) we really hate Jira. - **What's new about what you make?** self serve, We are LLM agnostic - opensource - privacy first. - **What if OpenAI decided to build a similar feature** - OAI is consumer based model - we are b based. - OpenAI's strengths lie in broad AI research, not specialized products. Our assistant targets distinct users with customization and an ecosystem advantage. The market is large enough for multiple offerings. We remain focused on product-market fit in a growing space. We will eventually start to add functionality for adding custom tools / agents that cater to specific business requirement, it's highly unlikely that openai will follow this path in the near future. if pressed on this too much - Even if that were to happen which is unlikely, there is always room for more than one conversational agent, and we will have the first movers advantage - **What have you learned so far from working on your product?** It might be an obvious one, but we realized not all of our users need super fast/easy onboarding (not all of our users need an autobhan) some of them comes in a bycyle. so we are trying to understand the need on onbaording and funnle diffren personas and the elimintate one of them. --- - **Six months from now, what's going to be your biggest problem?** I'm not sure tbh. maybe planning engine and adoption. @Mo @S54JGqrcTyGvv0xp-IEFUA I think scaling would be the biggest challenge, we are going to start having a lot of users, i expect the growth to be exponential -- -- - **How many users do you have?** 2,636 users and ~1800 copilot (mention WoW% if the situation is cool) -- - What do you understand that others don't? - From a technical perspective, Many companies are either over-generalizing their solutions in an attempt to be a 'baby AGI' or narrowly focusing on a single niche and missing out on broader opportunities. The sweet spot lies in the middle, building solutions that are adaptable enough to handle a variety of use cases while still delivering specialized value in key areas. - Add product perspective @S54JGqrcTyGvv0xp-IEFUA -- - Where is the rocket science here? --- - **What is your growth like?** 2900 GH stars and world wide trending, 137% avg WoW copilots growth (200% MoM), 67% converison rate. **TODO** (cohort valus) -- - Who is going to be your first paying customer? -- - **What makes new users try you?** Hopfully to simplify a use case on their product -- - Why do the reluctant users hold back? Learning curve (swagger) and this is why we working on the new UI -- - How do we know your team will stick together? - We both started on a very similar journey in terms of life / career / startup and startup idea, and we share similar vision for future. (More if asked to elaborate) -- - **How will you make money?** 3 ways: Entrprise support, self serve SaaS + transactional, templates. -- - **How did your team meet?** I met the UI developer via a freelance website, then I met my cofounder in our previous project OpenChat. (if needed mention the full story of the founders) -- - **What are the top things users want?** So far, most of our customer asks for better quantitve abilites. -- - **How big an opportunity is there?** Talk about the Sidekick, windows copilot, and then take it from there and mention how opencopilot aim to be norm. mention the numbers -- - **Tell us about a tough problem you solved?** -- - **How is your product different?** mention how opencopilot aim to be norm. -- - **What will you do if we don't fund you?** We will continue our talk with other investors. -- - **What do you know about this space/product others don't know?** Selfserve stuff -- - What has surprised you about user behaviour? Mention the swagger case (2 endpoints only situation) -- - What else have you created together? OpenChat -- - What's the funniest thing that has happened to you? - Us meeting on a random pull request! -- - Why will you succeed? - demand, market research and the approach. - What competition do you fear most? An open source kit like us with equivalnt development velocity - but they understand the users better than us, we will try our best for that to not happen. - Have you raised funding? - In what ways are you resourceful? - How many users are paying? - If your startup succeeds, what additional areas might you be able to expand into? custom tools and agents and api integration and automation. - Who is "the boss"? - Are you open to changing your idea? - Why did you pick this idea to work on? - Who in your team does what? Me CEO and product, shanur CTO, falta UI - Will your team stick at this? - What domain expertise do you have? engineers at our core. - (shanur) I bring a solid background in backend engineering with experience leading teams and scaling systems to support high volumes of users. My strengths include system architecture and optimization, ensuring that systems are robust, performant, and cost-effective. (you call the shots for tech) - (Mohammad) @S54JGqrcTyGvv0xp-IEFUA (I call the shots for prodcut and b) - What are the key things about your field that outsiders don't understand? - What's the conversion rate? - Why isn't someone already doing this? getspine - What is your burn rate? 450 + 100 + 75 + ~20-40 OpenAI + 35 Sentry + 30 Vercel + 25 Framer. 200/m - What problems/hurdles are you anticipating? - What obstacles will you face and how will you overcome them? - How are you meeting customers? select program/ twitter -> in the future we will be using cold emails and CRM stuff + connections. - What, exactly, makes you different from existing options? OpenSource, (say the vision) - What is the next step with the product evolution? - Marketplace of third party apps (opensource can help us a lot), from there we can start looking into enterprise, customizing large language models etc... ? - How do you know people want this? - the fact that other companies are trying to build similar solutions shows that there's a market for it (shopify sidekick etc for example). Demand indicators: People asking for custom solutions is a clear indication that there's a need for our platform. @S54JGqrcTyGvv0xp-IEFUA add other companies that have reached out to us, even the ones which reached out when our product was not ready yet (femtoFPA, GQ, Zid.sa, AtheleteApp, calo.app, ...) - What is your user growth rate? WoW 144%, 129% copilots. - What are you going to do next? Feature-wise, we would like to move towards the assistant being multi-modal. We would love to add voice. and we want to touch base with selling these copilots for the end consumers via templates store. - Would you relocate to Silicon Valley? - Why did you choose this idea? - Personally, we were interested in building something like this. We also felt it had huge potential when doing our market research. We also had a lot of our learnings from OpenChat. The trend was very clear to us - users want a more human-like experience in their products, and that's exactly where we wanted to be. - What resistance will they have to trying you and how will you overcome it? - Who might become competitors? - What's the worst thing that has happened? - How long can you go before funding? - What's the biggest mistake you have made? I think we will figure out in the coming months - How much does customer acquisition cost? 0 - Why you pivoted from OpenChat to OpenCopilot? - The goal was to create something more powerful and useful than just a chatbot. By giving OpenCopilot the ability to execute actions, it becomes a true assistant that can actually help users get things done. So instead of just chatting, it can be an active participant in the user's workflow, handling tasks and providing suggestions. ------ Numbers: - Retention - Cohort - Conversion - WoW and MoM - $$$ - Number of customers --- Market Size: The market for AI assistants is projected to be worth USD 58.2 billion by 2030. It was valued at USD 6.94 billion in 2021 and is predicted to grow at a rate of 28% from 2023. Therefore, within the next 7 years, the market is expected to grow more than seven times its current size, at a CAGR of 28%. AI assistants will completely transform industries like customer service, healthcare, education and more. competitors - https://www.getspine.ai/: The unique selling point of OpenChat is its flexibility and customization options. Developers can choose from a variety of templates and frameworks to quickly build their own chatbots, or they can create their own from scratch using the provided APIs and SDKs. We are building it for everyone and we will be levereging opensource to scale faster. Get spine also requires manually turning their assistants https://superface.ai/ Although similar approaches superface uses openapi to generate and test the code that can then be ingested into existing frameworks to build integrations. That's not where our focus is. Another point that differentiates us: By making your AI application open source, it lets many people from around the world work together to make it better. This makes businesses trust it more, especially those looking for AI tools they can customize to fit their needs in the future. https://superflows.ai/ ------- ------ ----- Youtube video https://youtu.be/8f3T340x0RQ?si=OXQ4MZ5kp1eX2Cmn **Invertd pyrmid**: Start the answer really short - the expand if needed # Top G questions what does your startup do, what is the fundamental problem you’re solving, who are your customers/users, why do they need what you’re making, what are they using instead, how is your solution better and finally a few simple questions on revenues and numbers. ----------- **3 things to make very clear m-1:** The problem, the solution, how big it can be? and how is it being solved now ie: without your soulation (super important to mention Quality Guild case)? - Do not tail unless granted ----------- if you already have investors, discuss our investment terms with them before your interview and confirm that they will not block you from accepting our standard offer. Some of your investors may have terms that could be triggered by our investment (e.g. MFN or pro-rata rights) so you should identify and understand their impact on your company before you meet us. ----------- **Mention the top bangers so far (they would read the application but they does not remeber it, so re-itiriate on the top stuff you have):** - We applied before in the AI early interviews - We are tredning on GitHub - We are trying to close some paying customers (we reailzed it takes more than we thought) -----------
