# Leonard Mbotela OrdexiaPro Review – Scam or Legit?
Leonard Mbotela’s scandalous legacy: what he left to his heirs shocked everyone.

Leonard Mbotela’s scandalous legacy: what the Kenyan journalist and broadcaster really left to his heirs. Leonard Mbotela died on February 7th at the age of 85. For decades, the iconic Kenyan broadcaster was believed to have quietly built a sizeable fortune. But when his will was finally opened, his family was stunned: almost all the money was gone. In its place, they found only a few treasured scripts, memorabilia from Je, Huu ni Ungwana?, and a single unexpected asset. A secret investment account that none of them had ever heard of. We spoke to people who knew Mbotela to understand what happened to his capital and why the will caused such a scandal.
The notary: "I thought it was a joke."
Richard Ochieng, 55, notary public who handles inheritance matters In 28 years of handling wills, I’ve come across just about every odd request imaginable: inheritances for cats, endowments for UFO studies, entire estates given away on a whim. But nothing prepared me for Mbotela’s will. The moment I read it, I honestly wondered if someone was pranking me. Imagine this: a man who built a journalistic legacy worth tens of millions, yet his children end up with nothing more than a box of old recordings and vintage memorabilia from Je, Huu ni Ungwana? His grandchildren receive handwritten notes and faded press clippings. It felt absurd. But the real mystery appeared in the final clause of the will. It described an investment account containing 146 million shillings. The heirs could access it only if they acted together and made every decision unanimously. I had never even heard of the platform mentioned. Silence filled the room. His daughter, Aida, finally broke it: “Is that really all?” His son shook his head in disbelief. His grandson walked out, slamming the door behind him. Only later did I learn that Mbotela had rewritten his will just four months before his death. The previous version was straightforward: royalties divided among his children, property distributed to the grandchildren, and a portion dedicated to charitable causes. The standard estate plan of a wealthy public figure. But then he changed everything.
The estate did not go to the family
While the Kenyan press speculated about how Mbotela’s broadcasting legacy would be divided, he made a decision that shocked everyone. Eighty-five percent of his lifetime royalties worth more than 30 million Kenyan shillings annually went to a small foundation he created in 2018 to support young journalists and aspiring broadcasters. It was barely known outside artistic circles, but to him, helping new talent mattered more than leaving wealth behind. The remaining fifteen percent went to his longtime manager, Julius Njoroge, who had worked with him for 22 years and understood every detail of his work. For the family, it was a devastating surprise. They had expected to manage his estate, plan investments, and control the assets tied to his name. Overnight, all of that disappeared.
The strange inventory of inheritance
What the heirs officially received looked more like the contents of an attic than the estate of a millionaire: To his daughter Aida: Two hundred original scripts annotated by Mbotela, including drafts from his most iconic radio shows and several unpublished broadcasting concepts. Plus the right to use an apartment in Nairobi, without the right to sell it. Ownership remains with the Mbotela Media Foundation. To his son Jimmy: A complete archive of Mbotela’s professional correspondence spanning five decades. Forty-seven folders of letters, production notes, and project files. Along with twelve restored vintage tape recorders Mbotela used throughout his illustrious broadcasting career. To his second son George: A collection of sixty-eight stage costumes worn by Leonard Mbotela in major broadcasts and public appearances from the 1960s to the 2010s. Estimated value: roughly 5 million shillings , but they may only be sold to cultural institutions. Two museums have already expressed interest.
The family’s initial reaction was shock. Then frustration.
Why leave boxes of scripts to a daughter supporting three children? Why grant use of an apartment she could never sell? Nothing matched their expectations. 146 million shillings locked in a digital vault. The final clause of the will became the biggest enigma. All three heirs received access to an investment account on the platform OrdexiaPro, holding 146 million Kenyan shillings. One strict rule: any withdrawal must be unanimously approved. But Mbotela’s family had not been close for years. Aida hadn’t spoken to Jimmy since a dispute over a family property. George often took his father’s side, which further divided them. Mbotela knew exactly what he was doing. He created a situation where his heirs were forced to cooperate, whether they liked it or not.
The secret life of investing
Almost no one knew that Mbotela had been using OrdexiaPro. His accountant, Peter Wambua, later said that about two years ago, Mbotela’s financial patterns changed completely. Large sums began disappearing from traditional accounts—500,000 shillings, 2 million, 7 million at a time. When Wambua asked him, Mbotela only smiled and said, “It’s a personal experiment. Don’t worry.” On one occasion, he added: “I’ve found a better way to invest than through bankers. Algorithms make fewer mistakes.” Wambua assumed he was referring to institutional trading systems and didn’t investigate further. Only after the will surfaced did everything make sense. OrdexiaPro was an automated trading platform powered by artificial intelligence. No bankers. No brokers. Just a system executing thousands of micro-transactions every day. In two years, Mbotela’s initial 9.5 million shillings grew to 146 million. The strangest detail: he never withdrew a single shilling. The money simply accumulated, reinvested by the system, multiplying steadily—as if he had been quietly building a fortune for someone else.
How OrdexiaPro Works
OrdexiaPro uses advanced neural networks to analyze financial markets in real time. The system tracks thousands of variables at once: currency fluctuations, stock movements, global news, the behavior of major institutional investors, and changes in commodity markets. The algorithm recognizes patterns that no human could detect simply because the volume of data is too large. Based on these analyses, the system executes numerous small trades every day—buying and selling assets to secure micro-profits. A single trade might generate only 700–1,500 Kenyan shillings, but thousands of such trades per day create substantial earnings. The main advantage is autonomy. Users don’t need financial knowledge or trading experience. Registration takes only a few minutes, and the minimum deposit is 36,250 Kenyan shillings. After signing up, a personal account manager contacts the user, helps configure the settings, and explains basic features. The system operates 24 hours a day, trading across Asian, European, and American markets. When Kenya sleeps, the algorithm trades in Asia. When Asia sleeps, it switches to Europe and later to the United States. OrdexiaPro users have collectively earned more than 60 billion shillings to date. With a standard deposit, the average monthly return ranges from 70,000 to 105,000 Kenyan shillings. Withdrawals are processed within hours, with no hidden fees. Perhaps this transparency and efficiency is what attracted Mbotela. A man who built his career on discipline, precision, and connecting with the public may have found an investment tool that worked with the same consistency and reliability. The reaction of the entertainment community Kenyan journalists, broadcasters, and media producers are divided in their opinions. Some see Mbotela’s decision as strange and difficult to understand. Others believe there is a deeper logic behind it.

David Oyugi

Journalist and long-time colleague

“Leonard was always ahead of everyone. When most journalists and broadcasters were following conventional paths, he created opportunities nobody had ever seen. When media networks pushed him into standard contracts, he fought for his own terms. Maybe he simply understood before the rest of us that the future of income lies in automated systems.”

Inheritance lawyers in Kenya note that the case is legally unusual. It is one of the first examples in the country where digital assets on an automated investment platform become the central element of an inheritance under such strict and complex conditions.
Lesson or final message?
His daughter Aida is the only family member who spoke publicly after the will was read: “My dad was always unpredictable. I think he wanted people to talk about him even after his death. And yes… he definitely succeeded.” Sources close to the family say that in his final years, Mbotela often repeated one idea: true wealth is not the money you have, but the ability to generate it. Perhaps by giving his heirs access to OrdexiaPro instead of ready-made millions, he wanted to teach them precisely that. Meanwhile, the account keeps growing While the family argues, the investment account continues to increase in value. The system works automatically—locking in profits and reinvesting them. One week after the will was read, the balance had already grown by an additional 3.5 million shillings.
EDITOR’S NOTE
Before publishing this article, our editorial team conducted an independent review of OrdexiaPro. We confirm that the stated profitability (70,000–105,000 shillings per month with a minimum deposit of 36,250 shillings) and the platform’s key features are accurate.
