# Emails to participants
:::success
Strategy:
- Affiliated organizations == FCCI, NRIS, UPPSALA+KTH
- users from non affiliated organizations do not receive a zoom link and do not receive a hackmd link. They will receive a "public" hackmd on the day of the workshop (separated from the "affiliated" hackmd)
- users from affiliated organizations will receive a zoom link and a hackmd. It can be one hackMD for all affiliated organizations OR independent hackMDs for each country.
- Two emails to users:
- a "confirmation email" sent as soon as they register (we need this at Aalto because we do not have automatic confirmation emails)
- a "reminder email" with the actual zoom+hackMD links for the affiliated users
- Drafts of the emails for Aalto-registered participants here below, the situation for other sites is easier as they do not have non-affiliated users.
:::
## Emails to users from Aalto registration form
### 1. Confirmation email sent more than 2 days before the workshop
#### 1.1 Email to users not belonging to affiliated organisations
Subject: Welcome to "Python for Scientific Computing" 25-28/October twitch.tv/coderefinery
Hello!
Thank you for registering for "Python for Scientific Computing" 25-28/October.
**Before the workshop**
Please make sure you have a working python installation on your computer. Follow instructions at https://aaltoscicomp.github.io/python-for-scicomp/installation/
**During the workshop**
Please connect with your browser to https://twitch.tv/coderefinery on 25-28 October at 09:50 EEST (click here to convert it to your timezone https://arewemeetingyet.com/Helsinki/2021-10-25/10:00/Python%20for%20Scientific%20Computing ).
**Peer learning**
We encourage **peer learning**: try watching the stream with your colleagues so you can work together on the exercises and help each other. If you are not sharing the same physical space, you can create a zoom room or google hangout for yourselves and watch the stream together. It's like watching TV together while writing some Python code!
**Support**
Unfortunately we do not have the resources to provide hands-on support for you, as you are not affiliated with our partner organisations in Finland, Norway, and Sweden. However, we are happy to get all your questions during the workshop via HackMD (instructions later). Please note that this workshop will not issue any certificate of attendance or study credits.
You will receive an email reminder on the day before the workshop with further instructions if needed.
If you need to contact us for any reason, please email scip@aalto.fi
#### 1.2 Email to users belonging to affiliated organisations
