    # How Can Teams Control AI Tool Access and Usage at Scale? <p>The unapproved use of tools in the context of growing AI adoption presents significant security and compliance risks. They might even leak sensitive data. Enterprises have to bring in well-structured policies and definite <strong><a href="https://babl.ai/global-ai-governance-blueprint-released-by-world-economic-forum/">responsibility to govern AI</a>.</strong> The combination of these three elements makes the framework a powerful one for control. It is a delicate balancing act between innovation and risk mitigation at the organizational level.</p> <p>This article explains how organizations can control AI access and usage at scale. It covers governance structures, technical safeguards, and continuous oversight.</p> <h2><strong>Establishing Organizational Foundation</strong></h2> <p>Creating control at scale begins with solid governance structures and clear policies. These foundations define expectations and assign accountability across the enterprise.</p> <h3><strong>Centralizing Accountability</strong></h3> <p>Organizations should establish a cross-functional AI governance council early.
