# Communicate! 溝通！

### initial communication

- 告知客戶已經在調查 incident
- 五分鐘內表示事件(incident)正在調查中
- 套路/模板 template：套用固定的模板向顧客解釋發生什麼事
- 鎖定並縮小規模，調查出更多東西

### Second communication: initial scoping in impact

- customer impact
- which components/funcion
- 哪個地區

### Updates

- 影響範圍的變化（Changes to impact/scope）
- 事情發生前的前2小時，每20分鐘回報一次（At aleast 20mins during the 1st 2hr）
- 告知 recovery恢復/mitigate 緩解 的方法 steps
- 設定預期

### Long incidents

- **減少**更新資訊帶來的疲勞（降低頻率）
- Don't jump the gun (不要操之過急)
- 如果很長真的要講
- 持續設定期待

### Resolution

- 定義什麼是全部復原
- 確認是否留有後遺症
- 選個最重要的item?
- 最重要是：休息

- Hygiene check-ins
- 這個過程是如何進行？
- 關係人是誰？以及會怎麼受到改變
- incident reviews
- is CS involved?
- what worked / didn't comms
- Consider formalizing the role
