Qualitative interview guide

Introduction

MyJobMap has been developped in order to help students finding jobs in the city or area they are in the world.

Q1: Imagine you study abroad and you want to get a student job, did the app respond to your need ?

Yes it would help me find a job.

Q2: Did the design of the application facilitate your job searching? ?

I liked the design, since it's easy to use because you just have to complete a profile an dthere is no need to register with an e-mail adress. it's clear.

Q3: Do you find the application friendly?

Yes because we can directly talk with the employeers. It's less formal than other "job-searching" site or app.

General information related to the topic

Q4: Did the application collects enough informations about how to find a job that fits your personality?

Yes, but for a student job there is no need to specify what you're studying. When you're looking for a student job, it's more a job for everybody than a job for just particular cursus.

Q5: If not, what questions do you suggest to add?

I don't know, I just think adding the availability option was a good idea.

Q6:Do you think it was easy to navigate on the app?

Yes, it wa sintuitive. It's simple becaus eit's minimalist, you don't have too much coices to select, it's pleasant to use. I mean, it looks like many other apps but it works and it works good.

Behavior related to particular issues

Q7: Do you appreciate the diversity and the proximity of the jobs proposed?

Yes, it's adding a useful criteria to make a choice.

Q8: If you were an employer, do you think that the app has added value compared to job apps?

I only know Indeed as an other app and it's really painful to use. so, I'd prefer to use something like that which is more intuitive.

Constructive suggestions for improvement

Q9: Do you feel there are options missing ? If so, what would you add?

Maybe some filters like the perimeter, a minimu wage, the distance from my house

Q10 : Do you think that the app fits any student regardless of her or his nationality/culture?

Yes, I think it's a good point. And when you're using english as a language available almost everyone can use the app.

User scenarios testing

1st instruction (this is your first scenario):
You are a student, you moved abroad and you want to find a job there, in order to maximize your stay.

Observations:
From the discussion: the core idea is good. However, sometimes students that go abroad made a budget before leaving and consequently the put money aside before arriving. They'll not use the app, except if they really need to. But otherwise,if you have to worj abroad as a student it's probably th emore intuitive way to find a job.

2nd instruction: (this is your second scenario):
You are an employer and you're looking for foreign employes.

Observations:
From the discussion: what I appreciate was the possibility to communicate easily between employers and employees. Moreover, checking the availability is helping when you're in need and you're lookinf for the right fit. Could be useful if someone is missing like sickness or else.

Qualitative testing

Positive feedback:

The idea is good and the app i very well designed. Speaking directly through messages is also a good idea.

Neutral feedback:

I'm not sure about the international aspect, I think the app could be used by everyone.

Negative feedback:

You should add filters to deepen the search.

Learning & insights:
Our design is great, and our otions are complete. However, we should add filters on the map. We should also think about the fact our app is not specific for international students.

Decisions & actions:
We're gonna add filters like the perimeter, the minimum wage, the minimum load of hours. We should also discuss abou the implementation of criterias that restrict the app to international student.
