Steps for reproducing Hydroshare 1 from Github

#open jetstream instance with at least 8GB of memory
git clone https://github.com/matthewmanning/flood_data.git
cd flood_data
git checkout containers
cd code

#add yourself to docker group
sudo usermod -aG docker ${USER}
sudo su - ${USER}

#build docker image
docker build -t waterbear .

#test docker image
docker run -v ${PWD}:/data/ waterbear:latest /data/script.sh

#docker image did not contain proper import package syntax, so packages were not installed. Install packages manually
python -m pip install matplotlib
python -m pip install pandas

#actually run R script first
#install R
sudo apt install r-base-core
R
install.packages("caret")
install.packages("randomForest")
install.packages("DBI")
quit("yes")
Rscript model_flood_counts_rf_ps_cln.r

#then run python scripts
python prepare_flood_event_tables.py
python by_event_for_model.py

#install sqlite database
