## Projet n°1 : PetAdventure
# **Interviews**
## Qualitative interview guide
**Introduction**
*We are students at EM Lyon. Fellow students have created an application that would help pet owners when moving house. It is this platform that you are going to test today.Let's start with some questions.*
Q1:Have you ever traveled ? How often?
Q2:Where have you traveled?
Q3:Do you have any pets? How many?
**General information related to the topic**
*Query the tester with general questions. Talk about his habits.*
Q4:How was your travelling experience?
Q5:What issues did you face?
Q6:What kind of help would you have liked?
**Behavior related to particular issues**
*Ask him to express himself on your application, product or service. Feel free to use the prototype for this part.*
Q7:Do you find our service relevant?
Q8:Would you use it? If so, how often?
Q9:Did you find it intuitive and convenient?
**Constructive suggestions for improvement**
*Ask him how you could improve your prototype*
Q10:What would you add/change to the app ?

## Testcard
## Pre-testing
**Name:** Camille Schwebach
**Age:** 21
**Occupation:** Student
**Context of the meeting (where, with who, etc.):** We met in Lyon in my apartment for a study session. I asked her during the break to look at the mockup of our app and we did an interview.
**Duration of the meeting:** We met for 2 hours.
## User scenarios testing
**1st instruction** (this is your first scenario):
You are a student who want to organize a trip in Barcelona with your cat who lives with you in Lyon. You have to open PetAdventure, and find the option where you can give your pet's info.
**Observations:**
She opened the app and understood quickly how it worked. She clicked first on " Pets - 1 + " but then she realized that this was not the button to put your pet's information. Then she clicked on "Your pet info" and was impressed at how many details informations your could give about your pet.
---
**2nd instruction:** (this is your second scenario):
You have to select an accommodation, a transportation, an activity, and finally you need to reach the payment step, where you can put your credit card information.
**Observations:**
She went through the app quickly. She struggled a little to understand how to select an airbnb, she clicked on the button "select an airbnb" instead of the image of the airbnb itself. She understood how to use the payment method.
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- It is Well made. It is very intuitive, you know where to click.
- It is visually attractive, it is colorful, and well agenced. There is space between the options, so it is clear. The font is cool.
- The concept is a good idea. More and more people want to travel with their animals, and your transportation and accommodation options are very useful. The activity option is also interesting, it can give you ideas of activities you didn't think of with your pet.
---
**Neutral feedback:**
- You could add a page with your partnerships, for example with Airbnb, Airline companies. This could give you more credibility and reinsure the client who is using your app for the first time.
- You could add a page "who we are", or "history of PetAdventure", where you tell the client about your startup idea, how the founders came up with this application.
---
**Negative feedback:**
- The payment step could have more options than just credit card. For example you could pay through Paypal.
- I think a part is missing: where you give your profile information. Where you give your name, your age, your living area.
- You could also add a "refund" option, where the client could cancel their travel for some reason and get the possibility to be reimbursed.
---
**Learning & insights:**
From this interview, we gained positive and negative feedbacks, and also diverse ideas to consider for our app. We learned that we need to improve some selection buttons. We also are comforted with the idea that this is a useful app, and very intuitive.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
Following this test, we will elaborate the range of our options. We are considering adding more payment methods, and we are also thinking of including a page about the history of PetAdventure, to explain who we are and what are our values to our customers.

## Pre-testing
**Name:** Alice Morel
**Age:** 20
**Occupation:** Student
**Context of the meeting (where, with who, etc.):** We met in my home for a study session. First, I explained to her how I was going to proceed. I began by asking her general questions before telling her to do two things on the mockup. I wrote down her reactions. At the end, I asked if she could give me some advice about how to improve the app.
**Duration of the meeting:** 1h30
## User scenarios testing
**1st instruction** (this is your first scenario):
I asked her to book a trip to go to London with 2 dogs. I told her she had to reach the page with the total amount to pay.
**Observations:**
On the first page, she entered all the useful information but felt like she had to fill the "Pet info" in order to continue. So she spent a lot of time on that and was a bit bored that she could not make the reservation before entering all the data. Overall, she navigated easily on the platform and managed to get to the end.
---
**2nd instruction:** (this is your second scenario):
I asked her to book a trip to Berlin for one animal. She could chose anything for accomodation and transportation but for activities, she had to book two restaurants.
**Observations:**
Everything worked well until she had booked one restaurant and wanted to add another. The was a bit confused with the buttons and if she had to back to the menue.
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- The application and its fonctionning is pretty clear
- The design is attractive
- All the basic things to take care of for a trip are offered so there is no fear to forget something very important
---
**Neutral feedback:**
- We could add other functions like a planning
- We could allow users to have a user profile where they could post photos of their trip and share it with friends
- There should be recommendations/opinions under the different propositions
---
**Negative feedback:**
- When on wants to select two thinks in the same category it is not very clear how to do it
- It is too long to fill in the data of the data of the pet when sometimes you just want to simulate a trip
- It does not seem possible to navigate between the different categories
---
**Learning & insights:**
We need to add certain features and make it possible to navigate within the app without losing everythink. It should not seem and be mandatory to fill in Pet info before starting to book a trip.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
Following this test, we will develop the range of our options. We will also work on easing the manipulation of the app.

## Testcard
## Pre-testing
**Name:** Anne
**Age:** 49 years old
**Occupation:** High School Teacher
**Context of the meeting (where, with who, etc.):** Anne is my mother. The interview took place in my kitchen at home since the quarantine didn't allowed a meeting elsewhere.
Anne is a pet owner, she owns a young dog (6 months old), and a cat (4 years old)
**Duration of the meeting:** around 45 minutes
## User scenarios testing
**1st instruction** :
You are a pet owner who wants to travel and you have to enter your two pets infos.
**Observations:**
The user automatically goes to the firsts categories (where do you want to go), but easily finds the "pet infos" sections. She easily switched between pet 1 infos and pet 2 infos, then went back to the menu.
---
**2nd instruction:** :
You are a pet owner who wants to book its travel and you have to choose an accomodation.
**Observations:**
The user had trouble with this step. She thinks that it will be easier if you can click on the categorie you cant to complete, rather than click on "next" button. Otherwise, it would be necessary to better differentiate the buttons in the step summary.
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedback:**
- The graphic design with stylized animals is nice
- The idea of having this service is very interesting and well thought.
- She would be a regular user of this service.
---
**Neutral feedback:**
- It would be nice to remembered that proposals are made taking into account the presence of the animal during the journey.
---
**Negative feedback:**
- The general logic needs to be improved, as an example, the transportation must be chosen first.
- Incomplete service, some information is still missing : rules for travelling with your pet, the vaccinations needed to travel to the chosen destination...
- The step between each booking must be more intuitive
---
**Learning & insights:**
From that, we've learn that our idea is a good one, more than expected. The user experience must be improved, but the overall app is still well done.
---
**Decisions & actions:**
To iterate, we will try to make the app and the user experience more intuitive and therefore fluid. We will reflect on this improvement in particular by rethinking the layout of the application. We will also think about how to include new categories or new slides to include in order to complete the service.
