## why donate to this Y33T?

According to https://yeet.daohaus.club/faq , a Y33T "is the easiest way for teams to fund their project and bootstrap their community into a DAO."

That is exactly what we intend to do with this Y33T:

1. Donate funds to our CheerMatrix project planned for MCON https://twitter.com/mcon_world installation.
2. Bootstrap Bloxl https://bloxl.co and Cheerbot https://cheerbot.org into a long-term DAO community.

**Bloxl x Cheerbot specializes in the intersection of digital and physical**, known as digi-physical or phygital.

In Web3, there aren't too many organizations specializing at this intersection:

* MetaFactory https://www.metafactory.ai/ specializes in fashion.
* Solana is building a https://solanamobile.com/ mobile phone.
* Taggr https://taggr.io/ is combining NFTs with NFCs.

But for the most part, **Web3 only invests in software manufacturing communities**.

To better diversify and compete with Web2, **it's imperative that Web3 starts investing far more heavily in hardware manufacturing communities** than the rare exceptions such as MetaFactory and Solana Mobile.

This Y33T is an opportunity to patron a very innovative Web3 hardware manufacturing community from MVP to DAO.

## what is our community about?

Bloxl and Cheerbot both had pixelart installations at the Castle during ETHdenver 2022.

We're developing Web3 pixelart hardware using this stack:

* LED displays;
* tiny RPi computers https://www.raspberrypi.com/ (eventually RISC-V microchip SBC rather than ARM); and
* 3D printers.

Our hardware stack might seem far from MetaFactory, Solana Mobile or Taggr, but not necessarily:

* marketing products naturally through community driven word-of-mouth.

The Bloxl team provides:

* the Narrrnia rave-themed maker/party space in Denver with multiple 3D printers;
* fantasy genre art installations and entertainment venues as seen at the Tilted Tavern camp at the Pennsic War SCA event;
* sophisticated LED control software, including real-time interactions with live music; and
* art installations built with pixel masonry that can be large enough to form part of a performance venue.

The Cheerbot team provides:

* a virtual reality 3D designer and circuitry integrated toy printer team, also working on Ethereum's pluriverse character lore;
* consumer-friendly and novice-coder-legible open source Web3 software integration with RPi, including artist revenue tools; and
* Web3 smart home pixelart robots, the right size for sharing the stage during at-home livestream performances or just chilling on the shelf for anytime based-decor vibes.

## our loot & DAO plan

This Y33T will fund the formation of a long-term DAO.

The loot from this Y33T:

* will offer governance rights during construction of the long-term DAO;
* can be wrap staked for the long-term DAO's tokens; and

We plan to use https://coinvise.co for the Y33T's loot production, in part to take advantage of the free publicity offered by DAO2DAO win-win optimization.

We plan to use the best modules from https://daohaus.club and http://app.kali.gg to summon the long-term DAO.

## funding goals

* **Bloxl Unit Rental w/Custom Web3 Software Integration: 8k xDAI**
Rental of an existing Bloxl unit measuring 10x20 pixels (5x10 feet), with software to facilitate display of NFT artwork. MCON2 attendees will have the opportunity to display tokens on the device.
* Costs include writing "jukebox" NFT pay-per-play software (copypasta open source).
* **Mini Matrix: 35k xDAI**
We will construct a smaller CheerMatrix measuring 16x16 pixels (8x8 feet). Tokens may be displayed on this unit with scrolling effects to show their full details.
* **Complete Matrix: 65k xDAI**
We will build the full-sized CheerMatrix, measuring 24x24 pixels (12x12 feet). With the ability to display most full-sized pixel art tokens, the CheerMatrix will bring NFTs to dazzling life.
* **Everything + Dance Floor: 140k xDAI**
We will build the full-sized CheerMatrix as well as a 24x24 pixel CheerMatrix VIP dance floor. Lined with solid plexiglass, the CheerMatrix dance floor will create an exclusive multimedia experience for pixel art fans.

## long-term DAO considerations

Bloxl holds a hardware patent in its pixelart displays.

Some of Bloxl's software is proprietary.

Cheerbot holds a software patent in its https://seedtreedb.com event driven software architecture.

We plan to follow this DAOhaus CCO example https://yeet.daohaus.club/dao/0x1/0x1efe05df1f5e82a4994093b1982c97e3dd404e65/1 as much as possible, but with [legally engineered](https://opensea.io/assets/ethereum/0x7106bb3faaa84fff35ed57405d24d47dea6df183/19) securities law constraint.

## story

Cheerbot "*IRL toy robots for the Web3 smart home*" is here to bridge the hacker/maker space with distributed ledger tech. See http://maker.cheerbot.org for a concrete example.

As art, Cheerbot specializes in VR sculpting and 3D printing Ethereum lore, to support the public goods infrustructure necessary to upgrade the Internet from (read, write) to (read, write, own).

As technology, Cheerbot specializes in open source edge computing network effects, wrapping them in emotional connection for fun "lay opt-in groundwork" mass adoption, and providing the potential for more practical permissionless and composable protocols to utilize the physically (SBC-node) decentral & self-sovereign infrastructure.

~~For this life-sized installation collaboration with Bloxl, Cheerbot will work on the sculpting and printing parts of the statue, so that we can turn Bloxl's beautiful two-sided tile pixelart into the ETHbot that'll ward off Moloch's chaos throughout MCON2's celebrations.~~

Bloxl is an innovative building material, a grid of transparent blocks in which each block behaves as a pixel, containing LEDs whose color can be individually controlled with millions of possible colors per block. This makes it possible for Bloxl panels to display images and animations. Bloxl blocks can be used to construct windows and walls, and since they're made of sealed acrylic they can stand up to outdoor conditions.

The design philosophy of Bloxl is the unity of polar opposites. Bloxl embodies the very large (8-foot walls) and the very small (16x16 displays), the very old (low-res pixel graphics) and the very new (large-scale addressable LED matrices). The development of Bloxl artwork and interactivity is driven by April, a custom-built compiler for the APL language, which has been used to write the animation tools, games and other effects that run on Bloxl.
