# Unnamed Idle Game
Bees
You must be the biggest beehive in the world and dominate the planet with your beehive.
## Main Gameplay Loop
My main gripe with a lot of idle games as they stand now, is they're either FULLY idle, or they are play for a bit and wait.
**Example**:
- necromerger is very addictive gameplay wise, but you have to wait basically all day, even with a full board of guys
- idle apocalypse is basically fully idle, the only game play is attacking champions
- idle obelisk miner is just tap and hold, and the only idle mechanic is using bombs and drones, which are mediocre
I want to make something that blends these two, where you can play and have fun, but still embrace the idle theme
#### Idle Focus
The main focus of the idle segment of the game will be the production of bees.
Each bee will take different resources, and amounts of time to produce.
#### Interactive Focus
The main focus of the interaction segment of the game will be the garden(?) and it's synergies with the bees
As you progress in your game, your bees will find more and more seeds and plants for your garden which you will interactively maintain/grow ~3-5 times a day. something similar to necromerger's interactiveness, without being too much of an annoyance
Similar to tower building ones, we will be building a hive, and managing a garden.
I'm thinking we do a thing where if you optimize the room placement, or crop placement we could get boosts. There won't necessary be a BEST placement because thats boring, but you could min-max production by moving rooms and crops around depending on what resource you need at the moment
## Prestige
Two total methods of prestige:
1. Killing the Queen so that you can spawn stronger bees. Gives access to 'Royal Jelly' which allows you to evolve bees/bee types (in an upgrade tree format, with synergies that make the game engaging)
2. Planetary domination, once you successfully pollenate the planet, we either have the options of: make a bee spaceship and go to another planet, or start the planet again and speedrun the taking of the planet and give rewards for it
Benefits of prestige:
Royal Jelly - Allows you to upgrade various bees and abilites, which will each have some sort of skill tree which is automatically refunded upon rebirth
## Sudden Pollen Release
(Should we have a list of activatable abilities?)
An event (possibly upgradeable?) that causes a large surge of pollen to be released out into the garden.
This will provide the bees a temporary resource collection boost.
Upgradeable with gems? and/or royal jelly?, for both more potency and longer lasting.
## Random Minor Events (?)
These are minor idle events that will passively boost or decrease production/growth of your hive or crops.
**TODO**: Determine when these will be happening, im assuming we would have a pool of possible times betwee nevents, and randomly choose, however these shouldn't apply during a major event
Positive Events:
- Light/medium rain
- Sugar factory explosion lol
Negative Events:
- Heavy rain / full blown storms
- Heatwave
- Light hive damage from wildlife (bears, other large creatures...)
## Major Events
These will be major interactive events. Your participation and success in these events will determine the level of boost (or how light the destruction will be) to your hive.
**TODO**: Determine how and when these events will be activated
Positive Events:
- Hawaiian vacation (relaxing idle vacation)
Negative Events:
- Wasp Invasion
Possible Event ideas to be expanded on:
- Atlantis Pollenation
- some sorta antartcic expedition
- ANT EVENT
- zomBEES?

## Monetization
i do ultimately want to monetize this game.. but i want it to be as unobtrusive, or even less than the way GrumpyRhino (necromerger, idle apocalypse) does it.
aka, ads are fully optional, you can get light benefits from watching ads, and theres a gem system that lets you buy upgrades, but gems should be achievable in game so that regardless you can access all of the upgrades
Idle Obelisk miner is another fantastic model of monetization, where its not even close to in your face, and allows nonpaying players to progress in the same way
