        # 🦞 Lobsters working group meeting
## Topics
* #### Partnerships & PH idea (Nemo)
    * make inbound and outbound working group
    * current dealflow: gearbox, coinlist, nansen, ambire, ocean movie etc.
    * list potential ideas for outbound team
    * internal group (handle projects we're working with): Eugene, joel, nemo
        * decide how to work with external group (Trello?)
        * we already have many proposals eg Akropolis, but nobody seems to care? -> informal poll with Discord reactions?
            * perhaps instead of doing polls in private channels, we just do it in the onboarding channel
            * ("why is everything happening in private?")
            * proposals are good, (Eugene would've accepted) but nobody does anything about it
            * **maybe we (WG) need to start first; when things get more interesting people will (naturally?) want to engage**
        * we need to find a way to get people to ape in/test
            * -> Gearbox is a nice example: quite some activity for them
            * use socials more -- twitter, telegram, ...
            * AMAs? other discussion events?
            * AMAs: thematic? e.g. if it's an options protocol, we find... relevant speakers
        * have point-of-contacts for each project
        * -> from now to Friday: decide how to track/assign work?
    * external group (find new leads?): Ivan, (Nemo?), Nickbutts
        * make proposals in the group (every 1-2 weeks?)
        * (lots of people in DAO w/ connections -- maybe we should empower them to raise ideas?)
        * discuss internally with members, is it ok to approach the project
        * then we invite members to comment on proposal, etc
        * then it gets tossed to internal group
        * -> from now to Friday: Trello board for discussing how we want to do things
    * WG to make a structure so we know where to throw work, direct people etc
    * current flow?
        * new project, proposal
        * internal <-> external <-> project discusses: what are they looking for
        * shill to members -- testers, etc
* #### Research and content (Nemo)
    * topics
        * source (quality) ideas, user wants, etc
        * what kind? -> "quality research, whatever's missing in the crypto space"
            * eg if there's currently an incomplete study on something, we can get people to fill out what's missing
            * or exploring/comparing zk solutions
        * but if it's too complicated -- it might become irrelevant by the time we get it out
            * us vs paradigm, delphi, etc?
        * so then... is there any (other) type of content we want to reward?
            * good discussion in lobsters? (but tg not conducive for long discussions, eg telegram threads are shit)
            * lobsters daily -> lobsters weekly/monthly?
            * we can have Notion pages for each topic, and keep adding new discussion onto each page (+ scoring maybe)
    * make working group team
        * source ideas, then... we vote on which to do?
    * rewards
        * we've got a huge opportunity cuz many want lobsters for their contributions
        * so we can reward people for good research (or give them shit if it's bad lol)
    * where to post, how to gate it
        * maybe to lobsters first, then to the general public?
    * maybe too difficult (?) -- perhaps drop it first and focus on lobsters weekly/monthly

* #### Development (Null byte, md zor, ivan, zhongfu)
    * propose few ideas up until Friday
        * maybe small lobster-gated utilities/tools?
    * hackathon
    * front end or tool for easy integration (lobs holders, or lobs score vs nft holder etc)
* #### Media (Nemo)
    * make working group team
    * approach different podcasts and media for articles, explain grand vision
    * beweekly tg space (Null byte, CIA)
* #### Organisational things (Nemo)
    * tools we use for tracking progress - Trello, Notion etc.
    * make a Notion w/ important links/info (CIA)
    * have 1-3 PMs to chase people - Eugene, Nemo and...?
    * Schedule recurring meeting - ~~one a week, once in two weeks???~~ bi-weekly
    * How and when to open this up to other fellow lobs that are not aware of our working group but would like to contribute
* #### List other topics and key points here
* #### Degen - A movie by LobsterDAO (nickbtts)
* Overview of idea & people involved
    * they're keen to do a documentary re griptoe space: the characters, what they're up to, etc etc
    * funding options - equity?
    * share ideas for locations and personalities
    * what we have now is probably a bit half-baked in their pov, so we should do up a better proposal or something

* #### Community (CIA)
    * Increase chatting, increase user flow from the main group
    * Finish merch idea.
    * Monthly voicerooms/podcasts/project pitch in main TG chat/main Twitter?
        * we could also alternate between (Telegram voice chats/Discord voice channels) and Twitter Spaces
        * (depending on who we want to target, maybe)
        * Telegram: lobsters chat was on telegram anyway, so it's not too unreasonable to say that quite a few prefer telegram
        * plus we have 2k+ members in telegram vs ("only") 800 in discord
        * but we did want to move to discord anyway
    * also most of our telegram users are bots, maybe we'll want to kick them out
* #### Merch (CIA)
    * covid lockdowns, not easy to get stuff moving
## what's next?
* split people up into separate working groups, then have another call a few days later to work out what to do
* define: what does the DAO want to be/do, in general
    * -> to have high-quality engagement, people discussing about r&d in the blockchain space, debates, education
    * no particular answer?
    * do we want to be a venture/investment DAO, or stay as... whatever we are now
    * (if not executed properly, it can end up being a shitshow)
    * (so unless someone steps up and is convincingly good...)
