# Carvel Community Meeting
The community meeting for ytt, kapp, kapp-controller, kctrl, secretgen-controller, imgpkg, kbld, and vendir.

*This doc is meant to serve as the "one doc to rule them all" for Carvel community meetings and open discussions.*

* We do have infrequent contributions from users from untracked orgs.

* We do not have internal pipelines bloating the numbers anymore
* AI [Renu]: Lets capture of downloads per tool over time
* What is next? What makes sense?
* Need to invest wisely.
* AI [Soumik]: Reach out to active orgs and users in Slack and GitHUb
* How is their usage?
* What would they like to see?
* Scotts 2 cents:
* In order to have momentum we should put `ytt` out there
* `ytt` is a larger differentiator
* Integration with larger tools out there like Argo/Flux
* Higher channces of getting a larger contributor base
* Frequency of the community meeting
* Scott: The other tols are useful, but I do not **need** more features
* `ytt` is pluggable, pushing out `kapp-controller` involves pushing against established ecosystems and tools.
* AI: Deprecation of older tools that are not maintained is needed. [github issue](https://github.com/carvel-dev/carvel/issues/801)
