The 2022 Pasuruan Bromo Marathon will be held on Sunday, September 11th, 2022.

xxxWhere will the race be held?
The Bromo Marathon will be held in the villages surrounding East Java’s Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park.

xxxAre there any special requirements to take part in the competition this year?
Yes. Participants are required to have carried out 3 (three) stages of the vaccine, namely: the first stage of the vaccine, the second stage of the vaccine, and the third stage of the vaccine (booster). Furthermore, it has been verified through the PeduliLindungi.id app as a condition for implementing health protocols for competition events.

What race categories are offered?
The Bromo Marathon Event offers four race categories, inviting runners of all levels to participate, including:

Where is the start and finish line of the race?
The Start and Finish line will be located in the Plataran Bromo - Tosari

Are the specific cut off times for each event?
Yes. We need to open those roads back up to get you runners back to your beds to relax post-race! Race cut off times are as follows:
Full Marathon – 3:00pm
Half marathon – 3:00pm
10K – 10:30am
5K – 10:00am

Is the Bromo Marathon a road race or a trail race?
It’s both! The course itself will be roughly 80% road and 20% dirt trail. We like to mix it up!

Will there be many hills?
Yes. Here at the Bromo Marathon we like a good challenge! Course elevations range from 1400m to 2400m.

How do I register?
You can start by visiting the Registration page. There is a link to register on Galanesia.com, our partner to handle all the registrations and online ticketing, including the transportation tickets. Please complete your registration on their site, it will automatically inform us of any newly registered participants.

How much does it cost to enter?
Registration fees vary depending on time of registration and nationality. Please see the Registration page for more details.

When does the Registration open and close?
Registration opens April 6th, 2022, and will remain open up until September 3rd , 2022 or until the event reaches capacity.

Does the registration fee include the cost of transportation and lodging for the event?
The registration fee does not include the cost of transport to the Tengger or lodging while in the Tengger; however, it does include optional transportation on the day of the race that will be available on a first-come first-served basis for participants staying in Tosari, Ngadiwono, and Wonokitri. If I am injured, sick, pregnant or unexpectantly out of town, can I get a refund?
No. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Can I give or sell my number to another runner?
No. Entries are non-transferable. Doing so may result in disqualification.

Can I authorize another person to pick up my race packet?
Yes. However, the person you authorize will need to present your race confirmation slip and a copy of your identification (passport or KTP), as well as their own picture identification.

Can I pick-up my race packet on the same day as the race?
No. Same day race packet pick-up is not permitted. Race packet pick-up is available at the Race Expo from 9:00 am – 8:00 pm on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 in Plataran Bromo - Tosari

Can I switch from the Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K or 5K?
If you later wish to change race categories, you will be charged a processing fee of IDR150.000 in addition to the difference in the race category fee. If moving down in race categories, the difference in race fees will not be refunded. Changes to race categories cannot be made after August 17th, 2022.

Transportation

Where are the nearest airports located?
If coming to East Java by plane, the closest airports are located in Surabaya (100km) and Malang (50km); however, the number of flights into Malang is limited as it is not as large an airport as Surabaya.

What is the recommended transportation to access the venue?
The best way to access our race will be via Pasuruan to Tosari Village, where the starting line is located. Trains and buses run often from Surabaya to Pasuruan. The Bromo marathon will be organizing optional bus transportation for race participants to Tosari from Surabaya. More detailed information regarding transportation is available on the Transportation Page of our official website.

Where can I find accommodation near the venue?
As Mt. Bromo serves as one of East Java’s tourist hot spots, the Tengger offers a multitude of guest houses throughout the region. Detailed information regarding accommodation is available on the Home-Stays Page of our official website.

Miscellaneous

Are skates, skateboards, bikes or carriages of any kind allowed on the Bromo Marathon?
No. For the safety of the runners, any person caught on the race course with any of these will be escorted off the course immediately by the course marshals.

Can I have headphones, ipods, and MP3 players on the course?
Because much of the course is off-road where traffic will not be an issue, you can use the above mentioned items to make your experience more enjoyable. That being said, you need to be aware of your immediate surroundings.

Kapan Pendaftaran dibuka dan ditutup?
Pendaftaran dibuka 6 April 2022, dan akan tetap dibuka hingga 3 September 2022 atau hingga acara mencapai kapasitas.

Apakah biaya pendaftaran sudah termasuk biaya transportasi dan penginapan untuk acara tersebut?
Biaya pendaftaran belum termasuk biaya transportasi ke Tengger atau penginapan selama di Tengger; namun untuk transportasi opsional akan tersedia pada hari perlombaan yang akan tersedia berdasarkan siapa cepat dia dapat bagi peserta yang tinggal di Tosari, Ngadiwono, dan Wonokitri. Jika saya terluka, sakit, hamil atau diluar kota, apakah saya bisa mendapatkan refund?
Tidak. Biaya masuk tidak dapat dikembalikan.

Dapatkah saya memberikan atau menjual nomor saya kepada pelari lain?
Tidak. Entri tidak dapat dipindahtangankan. Melakukannya dapat mengakibatkan diskualifikasi.

Dapatkah saya mengizinkan orang lain untuk mengambil paket lomba saya?
Ya. Namun, orang yang Anda otorisasi harus menunjukkan slip konfirmasi lomba dan fotokopi tanda pengenal Anda (paspor atau KTP), serta tanda pengenal berfoto mereka sendiri.

Apakah saya bisa mengambil race pack saya di hari yang sama dengan race?
Tidak. Pengambilan paket lomba pada hari yang sama tidak diperbolehkan. Pengambilan paket lomba tersedia di Race Expo mulai pukul 09.00 – 20.00 pada hari Sabtu, 10 September 2022 di Plataran Bromo - Tosari

Dapatkah saya beralih dari Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K atau 5K?
Jika nantinya Anda ingin mengubah kategori lomba, Anda akan dikenakan biaya pemrosesan sebesar Rp150.000 di luar selisih biaya kategori lomba. Jika turun dalam kategori lomba, selisih biaya lomba tidak akan dikembalikan. Perubahan kategori lomba tidak dapat dilakukan setelah 17 Agustus 2022.

Transportasi

Dimana bandara terdekat berada?
Jika datang ke Jawa Timur dengan pesawat, bandara terdekat berada di Surabaya (100km) dan Malang (50km); Namun, jumlah penerbangan ke Malang terbatas karena tidak sebesar bandara Surabaya.

Apa transportasi yang direkomendasikan untuk mengakses venue?
Cara terbaik untuk mengakses balapan kami adalah melalui Pasuruan ke Desa Tosari, dimana garis start berada. Kereta api dan bus sering beroperasi dari Surabaya ke Pasuruan. Bromo Marathon akan menyelenggarakan angkutan bus optional bagi peserta lomba menuju Tosari dari Surabaya. Dimana saya dapat menemukan akomodasi di dekat venue?

Apakah sepatu roda, skateboard, sepeda atau kereta apapun diperbolehkan di Bromo Marathon?
Tidak. Demi keselamatan pelari, siapa pun yang tertangkap di jalur lomba dengan salah satu dari ini akan segera dikawal keluar dari jalur oleh marshal jalur.

Dapatkah saya menggunakan perangkat headphone, ipod, dan pemutar MP3 selama berada di jalur lari?
Karena sebagian besar lintasan adalah off-road dimana lalu lintas tidak akan menjadi masalah, Anda dapat menggunakan item yang disebutkan di atas untuk membuat Anda lebih nyaman selama berada di jalur. Bagian terpentingnya adalah saling menjaga keamanan serta kenyamanan selama berada di jalur lomba.
