[^first]: This only applies to assessments that are marked as being in production. That means we've already tested it out with candidates and clients and it has a high effectiveness rating in getting you through the first interview phase. [^second]: You still need to pass their tough 4h in-person interview! We only help save you (and the clients) time in the initial phase where they're trying to make sure each candidate is baseline competent before meeting. But that's still a lot of time saved! [^third]: We will spend quite a bit of time talking with you about our clients as we believe it's better to selectively apply to only a few (or even one) that you're truly excited about. ### How can we do this? We are the **only** recruiting firm where all the recruiters are technical. Yes, that means you'll be dealing with other software engineers, data scientists, product managers, designers, lawyers, and accountants. Many of us have been hiring managers and know what other hiring managers expect. For example, our engineer was previously Head of Data Science at CX Asia Miles and hired ~20 people there. Thus, we're able to effectively evaluate you and also reach into our industry network to form close relationships with all our clients and ensure you're sent in only if you're a close cultural match. ### FAQ #### What kind of clients do you specialize in? We specialize in the HK tech sector, focusing primarily on proven startups that are growing and can't hire fast enough. Most have raised ventured capital (up to US$100M), although a few have bootstrapped from scratch. Many are wildly profitable. #### Do you help non-technical candidates? If you finish any assessment that is marked as "production," we have a high chance of helping you find a great job. For many non-technical roles, we do not yet have an assessment in production. If you're creative enough to help us make one, we will be very motivated to help you get a job. To set expectations, if you finish an assessment not in production, we will likely have a hard time helping you. Sorry! We're working on it! #### Do you help interns? If you are a technical intern and can finish our technical assessment, the answer is a resounding yes! There is a high possibility we wouldn't get paid for helping you, but we're happy to try to help! #### Do you hire for yourselves? Yes, you can apply through the same process as we heavily believe in dogfooding our own product. Please inquire during the consultation after finishing your technical assessment. #### Do your clients sponsor visas and relocation? Yes, the majority will sponsor a visa for the right talent. We will walk you through your many options after you finish our assessment. All offer a high enough salary you can get a visa and live comfortably in HK. Some, but not all, offer a relocation/signing bonus. #### What about remote workers? We have a very small number of clients who would accept remote workers, but you must demonstrate a previous track record of autonomy and are world-class in their craft. (World-class means you'd have a good shot of getting a job at Google, wrote a widely-used library, or comparable.) #### What can I do to make my application more impressive? It's great that you read this far! We love candidates who are detail-oriented and strive to make their application better. Please mention you read this far during your consultation.
