Manifesto

Discord

  • Scale back bilingualism to only important documents, information, and channels.
  • Introduce a french-only support channel and require council discussions to be in both French and English.
  • Relax the rules on abrasive, hostile, and toxic discussions.
  • Relax punishments for spamming offenses committed during hours in which moderators are not online.

Subreddit

  • Re-introduce the French Team to provide accurate translations to all information released by the Community Administrators, the Governor-General, or any other official teams.
  • Pay out of pocket for an advertisement campaign on pertinent subreddits, as well as establish official partnerships with other simulations, to encourage members to cross simulations and join CMHoC.
  • Look into a possible CSS re-design.

Canon

  • Hold a binding referendum on abolition of the Senate, with the options being "I vote in favour of abolishing the Senate" and "I vote in favour of retaining the Senate".
  • Utilise the Events Team to create events that require action from the government and opposition, such as natural disasters, internal conflicts, and external conflicts.
  • Retain a working relationship with the Model World, with a binding vote on requiring all previous events, legislation, governments, and political workings retain their status as canon to CMHoC.
  • Work to allow more simulations to become officially canon with CMHoC, and argue for more simulations to be official members of the Model World.

Elections

  • Replace the current MMP voting method in all ridings with a parallel voting system that consists of 50% riding seats and 50% proportional list seats.
  • Abolish the flat point system for allocating campaign limitations with a progressive point system, allowing those who have contributed to the simulation during the term to campaign more than a generic paper candidate.
  • Expand the campaign contest system to include more days worth of contests, but also requring all contest materials have a unique look and feel across all candidates.
