# Helpdesk Training Material - P3D/Fomo3D ###### Edited by @Jubbin (朱斌)#9427 & @Snow#1017 ## The Rundown - Helpdesk is often the **first** introduction that new players receive when entering our community. Try to remain **friendly and professional** when talking to players. We want them to see that we mean business. - Remember that you may be dealing with users who are completely new to cryptocurrency in general. Have patience with them and try to put yourself in their shoes. - When answering questions, try your best to be **efficient** in your answer. Make sure to deliver a reasonable amount of information, but remember not to overwhelm the user. **Baby steps.** - As a Helpdesk member, it is important that you do not make **ANY** financial recommendations to users. Since you are part of the team helping run this community/project, newcomers may look at any recommendations from us involving buys/sells of **ANYTHING** as **unprofessional**, as we are affiliated with the 3D ecospace and thus may have a “bias”. - Be sure to learn all the commands that are made available through !helpcommands. These will save you a **TON** of time when helping users. - If you have any **helpful/interesting** ideas for new **!helpcommands** to be added to the bot, you can discuss those in the #support-staff channel. - If you have to help a user with a wallet/tx specific problem, let them know that they can Private Message you to **encourage personal security**. If they're okay with pasting the wallet/tx into public chat, be sure to **remove that message** after you've finished helping them. - If you notice that a user currently has their discord user icon set to a **personal image of their face**, recommend to them in Private Message that they change this picture to **encourage personal security**. Same applies to **discord usernames that seem like they are real names**. **We don't want our users being doxed.** ## Quick Do's and Do Not's ### Do's 1. **DO** be polite/friendly. 2. **DO** stay on topic. 3. **DO** be careful of what you say, as others may read it years from now. 4. **DO** tell other Helpdesk members when you will be on, and how long for. (In #support-staff) 6. **DO** ask a question if you don't know yourself; keep learning. 7. **DO** delete reundant replies . 8. **DO** let us know if you are going to be gone for extended periods of time, as we may need your position covered. 9. **DO** stay up-to-date on tech, as people will have questions about the newest things. 10. **DO** keep it in laymens terms. 11. **DO** enjoy yourself, you are doing a very nice thing for this beautiful community. ### Do Not's 1. **DON'T** answer a question you DON'T know. 2. **DON'T** forget the goal; to HELP your fellow community members. 3. **DON'T** tell people to uninstall/reset metamask without verifying that they have their wallet seed properly backup and stored safely. 4. **DON'T** be a dick. 5. **DON'T** be afraid to ask other Helpdesk members/Mods for help; we're working towards the same goal. 6. **DON'T** spam new users with a lot of replies at once, be efficient. 7. **DON'T** kick someone out of helpdesk because they asked something silly or easy to answer. Reply politely and let the convo continue to flow. 8. **DON'T** tag the core dev for helpdesk questions, they are busy. 9. **DON'T** leave someone hanging, if you started helping them, then finish it. If you can't, get another helpdesk member to sub in. 10. **DON'T** try to impress anyone with a quick reply, this tends to trump your helpfulness and overwhelm the person we're trying to help. ## Most common questions Often people come into the helpdesk providing very little useful information about their issue. It's your job to ask the right questions and diagnose these issues. Here are some of the most common issues. * :question: "I can't sell my p3d tokens" :point_right: Ask them if they tried selling all their tokens and if they did suggest to sell a little less (0.1 tokens less per example). Rounding errors are very common with sell orders and will cause the contract to throw an Exception. **`!p3dselling`** * :question: "I sold my tokens but got nothing in my wallet!" :point_right: ask them if they did a withdrawal after selling the tokens. **`!p3dselling`** * :question: "Why isn't my transaction going through I used \*insert high gas price\*" :point_right: Ask them to check if they have pending transactions if they don't find any still ask for their address to check yourself. It is very common for people to think that making new transactions with higher gas will help. **`!canceltx`** * :question: "I can't withdraw" :point_right: ask them if they went through with the 0 ETH transaction.
