# Survey to get feedbacks for our concept
## Qualitative interview guide
### Introduction
We are a group of students that is working on developing two concepts in relation with the following issue : reinvent museums visits for teachers using sound design. The purpose of this test is to get feedbacks from people who may use our application. Some questions will be asked to you in order to understand your expectations and improve our application. If you want, feel free to comment or ask questions during this interview.
### General information related to the topic
Q1 : How often do you go to the museum ?
Every month
Q2 : Do you spend a lot of time using apps on your mobile phone ? Do you often listen to music ?
I only use my phone when I want to speak with friends or family. I listen to music every day but not on my phone.
Q3 : In what purpose or context do you go to the museum?
I go with my husband during the weekends or with my students during class
Q4 : Have you ever heard about an application that is used in museums ?
No, never.
Q5 : Do you think that an interactive application made to enhance museum visits could be useful ? Would you use it ?
I'm not very at ease with applications but if it is simple to use and I don't see how music could improve it but why not.
Q6 : Why do you think museum visits can be boring for students ? Do you think that music or sounds could make it more fun ?
Often, they are not interested in arts and the visit can be too long.
### Behavior related to particular issues
Q7: Would you like to have an app on your mobile phone that guides you in the museum depending on the type of sound you are listening to ?
It would be appreciable in huge museums such as Le Louvre but for smaller museums it would be pointless because the visits are not varied enough to follow different paths.
Q8 : Do you find our application easy to use or does it look too tricky to use ?
It is easy to use but I don't understand how we are connected to students ?
Q9: Do you understand fastly where do you have to click to go further ?
Yes
Q10 : According to you, how this app could enhance your experience in a museum ?
By changing our vision of the museum, making it more exciting with new technologies for children.
### Constructive suggestions for improvement ?
Q11 : According to you, how could we improve our prototype ?
Be able to select our own music because it seems here that we don't have the choice, add a presentation of the app so we can understand our utilization of it. Where do we select the museum we are in ?
## Testcard
## Pretesting
**Name :** Isabelle Catherine
**Age :** 59
**Occupation :** Professor in primary school
**Context of the meeting (where, with who...) :** Meeting with Walid Benjelloun, at the end of her visit of the Confluence museum in Lyon.
**Duration of the meeting :** 10 min
## User scenario testing
**1st instruction :
You are a teacher and you have to play several sounds or music for your students in order to be able to see what are their preferences and follow them through their visit in the museum. According to their preferences they will be put into groups and they will have to follow a specific path in the museum. You will be able to see how many time did they spend during their visit, what piece of art did they see and many more information.
**Observations :** I did not see any path in the app, it would be interesting to see it in the prototype. The rest is interesting.
**2nd instruction :
You are a student and you have to listen to different musics and sounds and choose the one you like the most. You will be put into groups and you will have to follow a path with your group.
**Observations :**
## Qualitative testing
**Positive feedbacks :** teachers would be interested in this app ! It can make museum visits funnier and reinvent them !
**Neutral feedbacks :** add a form teaching how to use the app step by step
-teachers should be able to choose their own music.
**Negative feedbacks :** The app wouldn't work with small museums because there are not a lot of paths to follow, which seems to be true.
-Not at case which technology so she doesn't think that all teachers would use it.
---
**Learning & insights:** From that, we have learnt that we should focus on big museums to develop our app and let teachers choose their own music
---
**Decisions & actions:** To iterate, we will make a music library at the disposal of the teachers and add a form teaching how to use the app step by step.
We will add a messaging service.
