# SIRF training school @PSMR-TBP 2022 - Main

Welcome to the SIRF training school @PSMR-TBP 2022 on Elba! On this page you will find some information on the schedule, content and suggested pre-workshop material. For a detailed schedule, please visit the official [conference homepage](https://agenda.infn.it/event/28667/timetable/?showDate=2022-05-28&showSession=all).

This training school will be hands-on. In the morning, we will give brief presentations on the basic concepts, while in the afternoon, you will be using software to try to explore this on [selected projects](https://hackmd.io/oNneaDUOQNK6XdDRmooITw?both#Afternoon-session-project-pages). More details on the projects will be given at the end of the morning session, after which we will divide participants into groups.

**In order to be able to squeeze this into one day, we ask you to prepare (see below).**

## Before the school
* It is highly recommended to get yourself somewhat familiar with Python, as well as basics of PET and MR. Look through the [Supporting Material](https://hackmd.io/ulDcAa5BSy6xdQwQM5A1Vw) page for relevant links.
* Look at the [Technical support session](https://hackmd.io/vtIkJhYGQoushMrWsLGmug?view#Zoom-support-session) page and test your cloud access.
* Read through the [project descriptions](https://hackmd.io/oNneaDUOQNK6XdDRmooITw?both#Afternoon-session-project-pages) to help you decide which project you want to attend.
* Have a look at the software information in the [SIRF-Exercises/README](https://github.com/SyneRBI/SIRF-Exercises/#readme). This provides basic “starting” instructions, as well as some links with recommended reading.
