## **Hackathon Vision and Plan**

### **Background** 
Inspired by the numerous AI hackathons happening around the Bay Area, we want to create an event focused on the intersection of AI and Security. The goals are to: 
- **Inspire, educate, and help participants find their community.** 
- **Keep the event local to the Bay Area.** 
- **Make this the first of many events if it goes well.**

Planned events include: 
- **Nebula Fog Prime** (this inaugural event) 
- **Nebula Fog Nova** (around RSA Conference) 
- **Nebula Fog Echo**

## **Event Vision** 

- **Encourage participants to embrace building with AI.** 
- **Promote 2025 as the “Year of Agents.”** 
- **Foster collaboration on blue team and red team challenges, as well as complementary infrastructure challenges.** 
- **Showcase our collective passion for automation.**

## **Event Details**

- **Date**: January 25, 2025 
- **Venue**: Future House, 1405 Minnesota St, San Francisco, CA 94107 
- **Participants**: Local AI and security enthusiasts. 
- **Open to**: Anyone passionate about AI, security, and automation. 
- **Sponsors**:

- **Provisions**: Meals, refreshments, prizes, and event resources. 

**Team Formation:** 
- Participants can form teams on-site or beforehand. 
- Options to join existing teams or start new ones based on curated ideas.

## **Agenda Overview**

- **8:00 AM – 9:00 AM**: Arrival and Breakfast 
    - Breakfast, refreshments, and coffee provided by sponsors. 
- **9:15 AM**: Welcome and Vision Setting 
    - Kick-off with a welcome address and outline of the event vision. 
- **9:30 AM – 10:30 AM**: Workshops 
    - *“How to Code with AI”* workshop. 
    - Emphasis on how English alone can be used to build with AI. 
    - Presentation of curated ideas. 
    - Participants without a project can join a team or pick an idea from the pre-curated list. 
- **10:30 AM – 12:30 PM**: Hacking Session 
    - Teams begin building their projects. 
- **12:30 PM – 1:30 PM**: Lunch Break & Panel 
    - Lunch provided by sponsors. 
- **1:30 PM – 5:00 PM**: Resume Hacking and Additional Workshops 
    - Continue building and hacking. 
    - Potential for a couple of other talks or workshops. 
- **5:00 PM – 6:30 PM**: Lightning Presentations 
    - 15-minute presentations by each team showcasing their projects. 
- **6:30 PM – 7:00 PM**: Awards Ceremony 
    - Technology prizes awarded to the best hackathon projects. 
    - Prizes include Apple AVP, AR glasses, GPUs, all sponsored. 
- **7:00 PM – 9:00 PM**: Dinner & Panel 
- **9:30 PM Onwards**: After-Party 
    - After-party featuring a DJ and lasers (Estimate: ~$4K).
