# Deleting and Restoring Notes

:::success
### :bulb:**Hint**
Once you delete a note, it will be moved to the Trash. You can recover it within 3 days (free plan) or 30 days ([Prime plans](/@docs/Personal-Prime-subscription-management-en)).
:::

## Delete a note
You can find the option to 【Delete this note】 in the **Menu** dropdown in the editor.

You can delete a note in the Workspace, too, by clicking the menu and select 【Delete this note】.

When you delete a note in the Workspace, a toast will jump up at the lower right corner, at which you have a chance to Undo deletion.

## Deleting the View History

In the 【Recent】 tab on the homepage, you would see on each card. Clicking on it only removes the note from your **view history**, but **NOT** the note itself.

## Restore notes

Your deleted notes will be moved to Trash for 3 days (free plan) or 30 days if you are on any paid plan. Within this period, you can restore them.

You can access your Trash from the left pane:

### Differences between Workspace and Trash

While Trash looks just like the Workspace, there are three differences:
1. You have to recover it before any edit can be made.
2. You can recover it from Trash.
3. You can delete it permanently.

You can empty the Trash as well by clicking 【Empty trash now】.

Feel free to delete obsolete, rarely accessed, or temporary notes to keep your workspace more organized.
