# Advanced Bartending
*[This way of drink-making](https://ss13.moe/wiki/index.php/Guide_to_Food_and_Drinks#Drinks) would be referred as **legacy** in this document.*
*Proposed way to serve drinks is heavily inspired by goons - [take a look](https://wiki.ss13.co/Foods_and_Drinks#Dispenser).*
In this document, i would like to propose new way for bartender role to create and serve drinks.
**Legacy** method requires bartender to get enough chems and mix them to create pre-defined (in code) drink with custom sprite and effect.
New proposed method should require bartender get creative with drinks, since he has 3 (or more?) customization slots for his drinks. To serve the drink, you need to choose the type of glass, and pour whatever mixture you want, also you have an option to add various accessories and toppings. Let's take a closer look.
### Types of Glass
Goon has 7 types of customizable drinking glass:
But I welcome other unusual variants of drinking glass! For example, on /vg/station, there's only one drink which consist of toolbox:
But what if you can literally take a toolbox and saw a hole in there, then pour some radioactive glowing mixture, add cream topping with cherry on top? A lot more options than *legacy* way, and also requires bartender to go around station and get some stuff (which he does already if he wants to decorate the bar).
### Types of glass content
Mostly declared by color of the major reagent, but some reagents might have textures and shaders.
### Types of accessories and toppings
Wedges, umbrellas, straws, cream toppings, cherries, bubbles, lost souls, orbiting drink for all eternity... i welcome ideas in our #ideaguy discord channel.
The most customization comes from this type since you're able to *combine* them in whatever way you want it to be
## What we need to make it happen
* **Code**, obviously. I can make that happen!
* **Sprites**. We need a lot of original sprites which can fit Eris aesthetics.
We need glass, accessories and topping sprites, each glass sprite should have separate fill mask with several steps (see Resources\Textures\Objects\Chemistry\fillings.rsi).
Would be cool if all types of glass had same height (exception would be shot glass maybe)
Accessories and toppings should be placed at the same height (i suggest top of the normal drinking glass)
* **Ideas**. We need more variants of drinking glass, accessories and toppings, as well as the ways you could acquire them as common bartender on the station.
