  • Optics Bridge: PCV sketch The optics bridging protocol has some natural components that need governance like signing keys for the relayer and watchers, upgrades to the router contracts and protocol upgrades to enable things like ordered message packets. In addition to these mechanics, the governance token should build up a treasury of optics controlled assets. This mechanism is inspired by Olympus DAO bonds as a way to build protocol controlled assets without. Finally assets owned by the treasury should be deployed to generate yield and returns should flow back to token holders in the protocol. Initial Issuance

  • Motivation: ATOMs bring enormous value to the Cosmos ecosystem from exchange integrations to funding of key public goods but as the IBC economy expands. ATOMs are the indirect beneficiary and large passive player in bootstrapping new assets in the IBC economy. The goal of this proposal is to build a mechanism to make ATOM a more fundamental part of the IBC economy. Mechanism: Olympus DAO pioneered a mechanism it calls /bonding/ where governance tokens are sold at a discount to users who provide a governance selected asset. This discounting process enables the protocol to avoid being front-run as it would be if instead the protocol tried to buy the assets of an AMM. Inspired by this mechanism, a new module will be added to the Cosmos hub that will operate an open order book that can be filled by any counterparty. Governance will be involved in setting pricing and deciding what assets. A new module on the Cosmos Hub will support setting the asset , price and order size list. This module will also enable deploying these assets vs interchain accounts this would enable staking, providing liquidity, or deploying assets in lending protocols. For example, the Cosmos Hub could decide to buy Osmosis OSMO/ATOM GAMM shares at a price 1.25 atom per share. As users fill this order, the module would use interchain accounts to stake these funds and collect rewards back to staking ATOM holders via the distribution module. Enabling technologies
