We are excited to announce our plans for ZecHub 2026. It has been a privilege working with the [community](https://github.com/ZecHub/zechub-wiki/graphs/contributors?from=11%2F23%2F2024) and we hope to continue filling the critical education gaps in our growing ecosystem. We believe ZecHub is becoming a core educational organization for the community and would love the opportunity to continue our work.

Open Source Chain data

In 2025 we made major contributions to the ecosystems public chain data by making more of it visual and easier to understand. Our open source data is now sourced all across the internet! It is our belief this data will ultimately help education and fight inaccuracies around the world. 2025 will be the first [year](https://forum.zcashcommunity.com/t/measuring-shielded-adoption/35022/62) the ZEC supply in the transparent pool ends lower than it started!


ZecHub Wiki

Our wiki has become a major source of Zcash education content as well as the goto site for current development updates in the ecosystem:

Here are some more details on areas we plan to focus on:

### Zcash Ecosystem Digest & Newsletter

Our newsletter helps keep the community up-to-date on everything going on. Zcash is MUCH bigger now with many diverse and independent teams working across the globe. We offer our newsletter shielded, and also in more traditional venues like substack.

### ZecHub DAO

We intend to be the first public Zcash DAO to openly use FROST for our wallet operations. We will also experiment with new governance technologies that help us find consensus. We encourage anyone in the community to get involved, learning happens best with engagement. The DAO will manage community proposals that are submitted. The ZecHub DAO is a great way for new developers and/or educators to get involved from the ground level.

### ZecHub Podcast

Throughout the year we intend to continue bringing on knowledgeable guests from Privacy Projects. Educating on new platforms, building context and understanding around technologies complementary to Zcash.

### ZecHub Tutorials

We will continue to produce timely educational tutorials for the community.

We will be using Premiere and other software to improve the quality of the editing, including audio and animations

Reach out for ideas if content you want is not available.

### ZecHub Collaborations

We will continue to build relationships and engage with aligned communities. We will also participate in all ecosystem workshops to spearhead the educational needs of the community.

### ZecHub Wiki Delegation

We intend to hand-off ZecHub wiki operations to DAO members. Every DAO member will be given access to the github in an effort to further decentralize our work. Core contributors will oversee any issues should they arise.

#### ZecHub Dashboard Management

We will continue to manage the more technical areas of data that is collected. This includes:

1. Run and maintain Zebrad/zcashd nodes
2. Respond to new data needs from the community
3. Fix/report bugs
4. Stay up-to-date with changes with the new Z3 stack

### Arborist Call Recap Management

We will help manage all aspects of the biweekly Arborist calls. This includes:

1. Notetaking
2. Short clip creation ( with subtitles)
3. Social Media threads

### ZecHub Voting Authority

We will commit to running as a Voting Authority for all elections in 2026. This includes:

1.) Run and maintaining a server used to run `zcash-vote-server` and `cometbft` as needed
2.) Renew and use the `zecvote.zone` domain ( if needed)
3.) Hold workshops before each election teaching/training those who need assistance with becoming a vote authority. This will aid in creating good up to date documentation that community can use.
4.) Work with Hahn,ZCG, and the community to report bugs and communicate issues as they arise

### ZecHub Hackathons

This year we propose to host 2 hackathons to maximize our impact in growing Zcash developer excitement.

Onboarding new developers is the biggest opportunity for growth within the Zcash ecosystem.

ZecHub is uniquely positioned to find and fund smaller devs/projects that may fall between the cracks. We love working from the ground up.

### ZecHub Store Management

We plan to manage https://zechub.store/ throughout 2026. We proudly accept shielded ZEC. Its important we lead by example when selling our merch! Designs come from community members and all ZEC received is purposed toward Zcash education. We currently use ZGO for shielded payments.

### Namada Validator

We plan to continue to operate our ZecHub Validator for Namada as a way to bridge our two communities and learn from one another. It will also potentially provide a source of income for the DAO.

### My First Zcash ( MFZ )

We plan to take over the MFZ project and manage it through to publishing of v2 with engaged contributors and/or DAO members. We have already secured the needed domain names for 2026.

### Other

We also want to hear from you, the community. What would you like us to focus on moving into 2026? Part of what makes ZecHub work so well is our ground level work that really listens to members in the community.

## Core Team

This year we intend to add two new hard working DAO members in a full time capacity. Members of the Core team are the main ZecHub Contributors who have the most presence in the community and take ownership of all ZecHub communications. Each member specializes in distinct areas where they have the most impact.
