# EPF-5 | Week 5

Finalized the EPF project proposal and created a PR into the EPF cohort repository; see [Securing Grandine's Performance](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-five/blob/main/projects/securing-grandines-performance.md).

### Activities:
- Established contact with [Leo](https://github.com/leobago) from Migalabs.
- Reached out to fellow EPF cohort participants Rory and Katya, who are also working on Grandine, more specifically on [Grandine Support and Documentation](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-five/blob/main/projects/Grandine-Support-Documentation.md) and [PeerDAS metrics](https://github.com/eth-protocol-fellows/cohort-five/blob/main/projects/peerdas-metrics.md), respectively.
- Reviewed Hangleang's project proposal on [PeerDAS improvements in Grandine](https://github.com/Karrenbelt/cohort-five/blob/main/projects/peerdas-grandine.md).

### Next Steps:
- Request mentorship from a security expert in Ethereum to guide the security aspects of our project.
- Work on the comparative design analysis between [Lighthouse](https://github.com/sigp/lighthouse) and [Grandine](https://github.com/grandinetech/grandine) consensus client implementation.
