# EPF-5 | Week 2 I've spent my time studying consensus and execution layer specifications, as well as projects worked on by the previous cohort. Due to illness, I've spent the second half of the week consuming previously recorded video content on various topics. ### Activities: - Reviewed the [execution](https://github.com/ethereum/execution-specs) and [consensus](https://github.com/ethereum/consensus-specs) layer specifications. - Investigated the Ethereum [roadmap](https://ethereum.org/en/roadmap/) to understand future developments and align project interests accordingly. - Began working on a small tool (GitGlance) designed to provide a high-level overview of GitHub repositories. - Discussed project proposals related to [RIG, ROP-12: Credible LLM Markets and AI-MEV](https://efdn.notion.site/RIG-Open-Problems-ROPs-c11382c213f949a4b89927ef4e962adf?p=1ce249f3492e48a488f69d02fb18e154) with Amin to refine ideas and seek feedback. - Reached out to Mario Havel regarding the Ephemery Testnet. - Consumed recordings of EPFsg [week 1](https://epf.wiki/#/eps/week1) upto [week 5](https://epf.wiki/#/eps/week5) ### Next Steps: - Finalize and release initial draft version of the GitGlance this week. - Resume analysis of the Grandine repository and its relation to Lighthouse, followed by reaching out to Saulius. - Read master thesis on [Single Shot Finality](https://ir.vanderbilt.edu/handle/1803/18820).
