### MAIN

April has been a very intense month, and it's not over yet! Today we still have a privacy night in person!

In April we had a great event, with physical and virtual appearances from Zcash community members like Pacu and Josh. Both spoke and participated in ipe city (a 30 days in row event), and Pacu had the opportunity to introduce himself, talk about Zcash, and meet some members of the Florianópolis community, so thank you very much.

We've also already made most of our swags, paid suppliers for the big upcoming events, Token Nation https://x.com/tokennation_io/status/2042338467527713025 and Blockchain Rio, as well as Zcon Vozes 2, which will feature members of Near, a project that has greatly helped Zcash with Near Intents.

We are closer to André these days, who recently received a grant and will represent Brazil at Network School, and we will collaborate extensively with him.

We are sponsoring a month of The/Garage, Solana's official home in Brazil, and it's hosting the Cloark team, who came in 3rd place in the last hackathon. They modeled their solution after Zcash and the viewing key and received $300,000 in acceleration funding. It's been great to be closer to builders.

# Zcash Brasil — April 2026 Report

## Infrastructure & Operations

- All infrastructure remained stable and operational throughout the month.
- AWS (Lightsail + EC2), Contabo VPS instances, API keys, and related services are **fully paid and up to date**.
- No major downtime or service disruptions were observed.
- Continued maintenance of backend services and monitoring of system performance.

## Development

We tested OpenClaw on our Discord server for a period of time, but it proved to be too expensive and overly complex for a simple assistant use case. We decided to revert back to a more basic AI model, allowing users to continue using the tool for free.

SSL certificates were renewed for the following services:

- https://testnet.zecfaucet.com

Several bugs on https://zcashmetro.com were identified and fixed.

Our light wallet infrastructure was updated to the latest stable version, **zebrad 4.3.1**.
The lightwalletd service remains available at:

ZecFaucet received optimizations in its synchronization process, improving overall performance and reliability.

## New Projects

### ZecDex
A decentralized peer-to-peer exchange:
- No KYC
- FROST-based escrow system

### LiveZEC
A tool for livestreamers to receive $ZEC donations:
- Donations appear live on stream
- Optional display of memo messages

Both projects are still in early development stages, but we believe they have strong potential to bring new traction to the Zcash ecosystem.

- Kickstarted the month with **zk AvClub workshop support**, led by Pac and Iogy, focused on transmissions.
- Tested **updates on the ZECTrivia bot** to enhance community experience.
- Covered the **Engineering Hous** with a Zcash presentation.
- Provided **full-time support to the Zcash community**: answering questions, onboarding, and assisting members.
