# linux - perl locale setting warning

When you run some commands, your shell appear following warning messages.
```
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LC_CTYPE = "UTF-8",
LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
```
To solve
```
1. comment out following two lines in "~/.bashrc" or "~/.bashprofile" files
LANGUAGE=en_US:en
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
2. add following line into "~/.bashrc" file
export LC_ALL="en_US.UTF-8"
3. execute following command
sudo locale-gen zh_TW.UTF-8
```
