### Where do KORRES ingredients and products come from?
Greece—our home and our ultimate inspiration. The Greek landscape is filled with unique, wild flora that has grown and been used for traditional remedies for thousands of years. From working with local micro-farmers to teaching sustainable practices, our method of gathering ingredients has always gone beyond just farming—it’s a labor of love and our eternal passion. Through a Full Circle™ seed-to-skin journey, we carefully transport each seed, fruit, or bloom to our six labs to be extracted, formulated, and ultimately returned to the soil as organic fertilizer.

### How do you come up with your formulas?

Our products are inspired by the unique and transformative ingredients we source from Greece, our all-women Research & Development team, as well as our skin’s needs. We create ingredient-first, results-driven formulas that combine the power of nature with cutting-edge science and natural technologies—all with the aim of achieving a specific skin goal and keeping our blends as clean and natural as possible.

### How do you make sure your formulas are safe?

At KORRES we are known for developing our products with the highest standards of testing and transparency. Each one of our products goes through over 500 tests to ensure they are safe and effective—and we start from scratch if even one of those tests falls short.

Just as important as what goes into our formulas, is what we leave out. We have an ever-growing list of 2,000+ commonly used ingredients and chemicals that we avoid using an are always challenging ourselves to develop highly natural and efficacious products.

## FAQ- Product Information (商品相關問題)

### Does Korres test on animals?
No, at KORRES we believe in purity of ingredient and intention. We are strictly against animal testing, and do not test any ingredients or products on animals, nor do we hire outside companies to do so for us at any stage in production.

All of our safety and efficacy tests are performed at our Formulation Lab in Athens, using synthetic skin cells or on volunteers under the surveillance of a dermatologist, ophthalmologist or other medical professional. We do not sell to any countries that require animal testing and follow the European Union's strict legislation that bans animal testing on finished cosmetic products and their ingredients.

KORRES會進行動物實驗嗎?

不會，在KORRES我們堅持使用純淨的原料。
我們堅決反對動物實驗，不會將任何成分或產品用於動物做測試，更不會在製造的任何階段雇用外部廠商進行動物試驗。KORRES所有的安全性和有效性測試皆由位於雅典的配方實驗室執行。

### Are all your products Gluten Free?
The simple answer is no, but be sure to check the details section under each product to see the content of each formulation and whether the product is gluten-free, made with wheat-derived ingredients or may contain traces of wheat.

**請問所有的產品都不含麩質嗎?**

基本上我們的產品都是不含麩質的。但建議您再次確認產品上的詳細資訊，確保配方中不含麩質或是微量小麥以及小麥衍生的成分。

### Are your products OK for vegetarians & vegans?
Yes, the vast majority of our products are suitable for vegetarians and/or vegans.
Our clean formulas are plant-based and inspired by the natural Greek landscape. Under the details section of each product page, you’ll find the content for each formulation and whether or not it is suitable for you.

**請問KORRES產品適合素食者或純素食者使用嗎?**

### Is it safe to use KORRES products while I am pregnant / breastfeeding?
We advise that all pregnant and/or breastfeeding women consult their doctor before the use of any product. Our natural ingredients are our pride and joy, which is why we love to include detailed ingredient lists for each product. Have your doctor look them over to help you decide if a product is safe to use while pregnant or breastfeeding.
In addition, we make safety and efficacy a top priority by avoiding 2,000+ harmful or chemical substances and only use EU-approved, absolutely safe synthetic ingredients when they are the safer option.

Wherever possible, yes.
We’re proud to be internationally recognized for environmental best practices, operating under a no-waste principle with renewable energy, and creating 99% recyclable packaging—it’s all a part of our Full Circle process.

### 01 | KORRES Soil Lab

"Greece is home to over 6,000 species of plants, 1,500 of which are endemic. Our own agricultural team has mapped this flora for 25 years, working in harmony with nature by teaching sustainable farming practices and conserving our precious natural resources.”

After Giorgos, our Head Agriculturist (or Plant Hunter, as we like to call him) discovers our next hero ingredient, we choose where to cultivate it based on 2 criteria: where it grows best, and which communities need support the most. We support local farming families who, in turn, help us cultivate the land responsibly and conserve the beautiful Greek soil.

"The plants we work with are feats of nature—they adapt and fortify, regenerate and thrive. Our aim is to extract this bit of magic within them and produce clinically effective extracts of the highest quality.”

Through a zero-waste process, we carefully extract active herbal ingredients and return any unused organic matter to the soil as fertilizer. We then preserve these powerful plant extracts in natural solvents at the height of their potency, which leads to better skincare results.

"The isolation and identification of active herbal ingredients within a plant is vital to revealing the plant's unique biological mechanisms and properties. Our aim is to study the power of nature and use its treasures to make skin stronger, healthier, and more radiant."

We’re constantly studying plants at a cellular level in order to understand how they work with our skin. This is the very lab where we can identify how protein producing Black Pine extract works within the skin to boost collagen and elastin or how probiotic rich Greek Yoghurt soothes sensitive skin.

Our women-led Research & Development team in Athens specializes in creating natural formulas that are rich in actives without the use of unnecessary stabilizing chemicals. They all test each product 500 times to ensure peak efficacy and safety, starting from scratch if even one of those tests falls short.

### 06 | KORRES Recycle Lab

"Our design has a second chance. It’s about sustainability, it’s a path to a cleaner planet, it’s a choice to live in harmony with nature. Most importantly, it’s our responsibility to the community.”

From seed to skin, this is where we come full circle. We expanded our sustainability practices in 2020 by building the Recycle Lab, a state-of-the-art recycling facility in Athens where empty containers are reborn as packaging, art objects, and even furniture. By 2023, we plan to build a Recycle Lab in the US to complement our flagship Lab in Athens.

### Pure to the last drop

Water is one of the most important ingredients in cosmetic formulas. Purer water means fewer preservatives are required for formula safety. Because pure water is so essential, we choose to purify ours at an in-house facility. The water we purify and put into our formulas is 5x purer than pharmaceutical-grade.
