# yUSD reveal and marketing

yUSD started as a vault token (yyCRV)

Its name was coined on twitter as yUSD, however at the same time UMA launched a yUSD, YFI twitter prevailed and the name stuck.

We need to push the narrative that yUSD is a "new meta" stable coin by Yearn, that makes you 200%+, feels like a stablecoin, uses like a stable coin, but makes you more money then any token available, hence the Blue Smiley logo. Yearn product with a distinct Token visual (the blue smily), to differenciate it from the Vaults.

We will have a coordinated marketing launch for yUSD, see ETA below.
