# Yearn POAPs

POAP — short for Proof of Attendance Protocol — are digital badges given to users as a way to prove their attendance and participation to Yearn. There's even an already existing [iOS](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/poap-wallet/id1473716619?ls=1) and [Android app](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.explorer.poap) to store and view your POAPs tokens. Even more infos can be found on the [poap.xyz](https://www.poap.xyz/) website.

## The idea

Reward early adopters of Yearn, long term farmers, active voters, active contributors etc... with digital badges, designed by artists.

Those are valueless badges, but we could have a system where collecting enough of them would give you a unique grant (with real hard money aka yUSD)

Recent examples of POAP used in the wild.
* Four variations of Coingecko Yield farmer NFT (YFI, YAM, BAL, COMP). * To incentivize validators to branch out and try new clients, Eth2 Medalla testnet [issued a poap](https://beaconcha.in/poap) to each user that proposed a block with a given client. Users were required to add a grafitti tag in their validator command that was used to prove recipients on-chain.

## Yearn POAPs

Type of POAPs:
- Early adopters
- Long term users (time based POAPs, time locked in a vault etc...)
- Governance POAPs (time locked in governance, top governors, number of YIPs voted)
- Vaults POAPs (early new vaults adopters or related to a specific vault)

## Early adopters

- **OG YFI farmer**
Badge for the true original ones, based on on-chain data available on Nansen AI ([tweet about it here](https://twitter.com/ASvanevik/status/1317469147845042176?s=20)). Could also be named **One of us**.

## Long term users

- **It's been 84 years**
Reference to Titanic, a badge for the first users who will have been in Yearn for a full year.

## Governance

- **YIP them all**
Badge for 20+ YIP voted.

- **Beard of wisdom**
Badge that need 5+ YIP voted + 4 months locked in governance.

- **The Governator**
Time locked in governance or # YIP votes


## Vaults

- **Vault Dweller**
Badge for when you're in the first few users to enter a new vault hehe, inspired by Fallout ([link](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Vault_Dweller_(achievement)))


- **Moneybags**
Badge for large deposits in vaults (more than 50'000 USD at once. Inspired by Fallout ([link](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Moneybags))


- **Farmaholics Ynonymous Series**
Time locked in vaults
* Alcoholics Anonymous has a sobriety token system. Physical tokens are given for 24 hours, months and years.
* Poaps could be issued to farmers that stay locked in a vault for a given length of time.
* ERC1155 does not support the ability to remint a token when a new user meets requirements(can someone verify?). Snapshots could be taken at the end of the month, quarter or year, with month/quarter/year specific poaps awarded retroactively.


- **Link blue chad**
Badge for very large LINK ammount in the link vaults. Inspired by the Link marines and Pepe, maybe the blue buffed out pepe.


- **yveCRV Ape Vault**
This could be an ape of some design, maybe scratching his own back (or even using one of those backscratching tools), and it could be for everyone who deposited into the yveCRV vault before the first admin payment from Curve. If there's text with it or when we send it out, we could include something about locking up your funds forever without even receiving anything back.

- **Benevolent Farmer**
Could call this whatever we like, but could reward those select users who were kind enough to help out the protocol by calling `earn` on any vault.

## Fun and easter eggs badges

- **Code Cruncher**
Rewarding the top Github contributors. Inspired by Fallout ([link](https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Code_Cruncher))

- **Testing the waters**
Badge for the users who made deposits of 1$ and less in any of the vaults.

- **Square root of all evil**
Badge for any deposit of 666 tokens. Or any ETH addr of users which contains 666.
