Unlike most projects getting paid for providing a service or becoming employed by Yearn will be different than normal projects. The reason for this is that our operations are decentralized and yearn is a [DAO](https://medium.com/universablockchain/decentralized-autonomous-organization-what-is-a-dao-company-eb99e472f23e#:~:text=A%20decentralized%20autonomous%20organization%2C%20or,actions%20an%20organization%20will%20take.) which means that no one person controls the budget or funds. Instead our funds are pooled into a treasury and final approval on what to spend money on is in the hands of our multi-sig wallet. Thus there is no one person you can go to directly to get approval for x funding. Most marketing requests will have to be voted on either by YFI holders via the forum, or as an alternative route, you can also request funding via our [YDAO](https://gov.yearn.finance/t/ydao-for-community-funding/2243) which is made to quickly approve funding for our yearn community.
