Dear Nixers,

While working on the [Nickel language](https://github.com/tweag/nickel/), it appeared that there didn't exist a dedicated place to discuss the research, development and applications of configuration languages and their specificities. So we gathered people from these communities: @edolstra for Nix, Gabriel Gonzalez from [Dhall](https://dhall-lang.org/), Marcel von Lohuizen for [CUE](https://cuelang.org/) plus researchers from academia and created a new workshop on configuration languages: [CONFLANG](https://2021.splashcon.org/home/conflang-2021).
