# Mikel's Ph.D. International Internship
To accomplish the international recognition of the Ph.D., Ph.D. students need to make a stance or an internship in a foreign country for at least three months. Intending to achieve that recognition for his Ph.D., these are the options so far where to make that internship.
## Options:
1. Protocol Labs
Yiannis has shown interest in the internship to happen. Apparently, there is no problem generating a contract in any other country (or having any statement saying I need to be somewhere).
There is also the chance to have some funds to support the internship (Yiannis would still have to ask whether is possible or not).
It would be pretty close to what we are currently doing in our studies.
2. Cambridge
Apart from the long bureaucratic process that it implies (with the acceptance not guaranteed), funds or support for the three months stance is not provided.
It is also undefined which my tasks will be over the stance in Cambridge and how compatible they are with Protocol Labs' Fellowship
3. Status
Since we would have to ask them to expressly state that I need to be in a foreign country, it is putting them in an awkward position because all the Status members can remotely work from wherever they want
## Paperwork
#### Paperwork from our side BSC
1. Single petition at BSC?
#### Paperwork from the receiving (me) company/center
1. Contract stating that I need to move somewhere?
2. Does it have to state what I'll do during the stance?
3. How long would it have to be?
4. Do we need any agreement between PL and the BSC?
