# Mayflower Moderation Handbook and Guidelines
#### This document serves to put solid limitations for the State of Mayflower Moderation system, as well as elaborate on common questions & issues found by Moderators.
## Moderation Procedure
This section will explain the most appropriate actions for a Moderator to take under certain circumstances.
- When a game violation occurs, this pattern should be followed:
1. View the player to confirm the a rule has been broken
2. Capture evidence and post it in #mods-evidence using the following format
(username - reason - evidence)
3. Punish the player accordingly depending on the rule that has been broken
- When a Discord violation occurs, this pattern should be followed:
1. Capture evidence
2. Warn or ban the player based on the severity of the rule broken.
3. Post evidence using the following format (username - reason - evidence)
Although evidence for everything but aimbotting isn’t made compulsory we still encourage it in the case of if someone appeals their ban. Bans for aimbotting must include evidence that is then put into the #mod-evidence channel of the discord server.
You must also understand that the Central Authority reserve the right to remove your moderation powers for any reason at any time.
