The current 2D visualizers are cool for pfps, trading cards, and perhaps tabletop games, but aren’t that great for other types of game dev. We need more game dev ready NFTs. 3D assets have a ton of versatility to become rendered as 2D art, sprites, avatar wearables, etc.

Ideally we create the objects first and get them to work in many spaces

On-chain artists like dom are part of a small corner in crypto that I really vibe wit, smart ppl thinking about metadata / composability / positive sum incentive structures / permissive licensing.

We wanna create a collection that strings together many NFT projects together, and align with the on-chain artists whom are some of the top thinkers and doers in the crypto space regarding composability.

To invite play and expansion, it’s easier to do so when the canonical reference is open to interpretation. It’s easier to expand a tree branch with your imagination than a higher fidelity toy.

Next steps are that we need to rescale the models (they're as big as a 3 story building) and then test exports. At which point we should mint a small batch for posterity.

M3taloot = open and remixable 3D loot asset library for avatars and game dev

We want to create an interoperable wearables collection that unites the 3D avatar communities and platforms. Avatar projects and owners are able to mod the initial collection to fit their base meshes.

We now have composable ingredients (wearables) of neutral origin that can string together many of these communities to join us on metaverse adventures while we research and play test avatar interop ideas

Also m3taloot is voxelized so we can play test on platforms like Cryptovoxels to add another layer to our avatar interop experiments

In game dev we typically start high fidelity and then can automatically create various levels of detail out of that. Just need to mod the top 3D layer to influence everything below

You connect your wallet to open the doors on a website, see your synthetic loot visualized in 3D for the first time, and chests that represent the loot NFTs in your inventory (wallet).

In the next phase the chest will open up, allowing users to claim their unbundled m3taloot assets with some extra surprises.
