# TRY AGAIN FAIL Gem and Jam Festival: Lil Nouns Mini Basketball Tournament!

Wearing my Meet The Nouns track suit, I, Bloomz will host mini basketball games for the Gem and Jam show during the day! 1 off games for smaller prizes (**Basketballs, Stickers, LoFi Noggles**) and a tournament for a pool of **Grand Prizes**! What is the grand prize? ( **Fun Noggles, Lil Nouns, a Nintendo Switch!**). Giveaway of Lil Nouns for the top 3 winners of the tournament!

### Why

Lil Nouns will be targeting a **key demographic** and age group at this event. The Basketball games will be a fun and engaging oppurtunity for people passing by during the day to take a break from browsing the Gem show before the music starts.


**Event - Gem and Jam Festival - Tucson, AZ**

The 15th annual Gem and Jam Festival is the **premier festival** of Tucson, Arizona. It is an immersive festival held in conjunction with the annual 3 week long Tucson Gem and Mineral Show. Gem & Jam brings a special kind of vibe with the demographic of people that come out. Naturally, you’ll meet some of the most genuine, laid-back characters around. Walking in any which way, you may even find some friends you already know! Don’t worry when it comes to making new ones though, Gem & Jam is crawling with friendly faces. This enviroment gives Lil Nouns the perfect oppurtunity to bring this fun, immersive activation to all the lovely festival patrons!
With over 75+ amazing artists, the festival is sure to impress!  Every year, Gem & Jam builds a shockingly distinct lineup. With roots in jam and electronic music, there’s styles for everyone to enjoy. This year, **String Cheese Incident , The Floozies, Emancipator, The Motet, Ott, and many more** will be taking the stage.
Gem and Jam Festival can be a great opportunity to market the Lil Nouns DAO. The festival attracts a large crowd of music lovers, many of whom may be interested in alternative forms of investment such as the Lil Nouns. Additionally, the festival's focus on creativity and community aligns well with the principles of the Lil Nouns as an organization. By setting up a area for the Mini Basketball at the festival, we as a DAO can raise awareness about the Lil Nouns among a diverse group of potential investors and community members.

Yes thats right! Over 55,000 people travel to Tucson, AZ from all around the world during the 3 week Gem and Mineral Show!

**What all does Gem and Jam Festival include?**
This year, they’re going bigger than ever with expansions on all areas of the festival! This includes immersive art and music, spectacular gem and minereal booths, a variety of vendors, an assortment of different food vendors, and much more!!

### High Level
**Set up** will be on Friday morning, and the games will begin shortly after!

**POAPs** to enter the tournament (gain access to the the POAP with just an email address). Using an IYK device to distribute, participants entering will be rewarded with a POAP that will help directly onboard to Lil Nouns. I will develop a strategy to include in the body of the POAP, that will drive traffic to Lil Nouns multiple avenues of engagment (Website, Twitter accounts, Discord, Etc.) This will also help to track success metrics of activation itself.

I will coordinate with the hotel ahead of time to recieve any packages. Have VSVSVS send Mini Bballs to hotel. Purchase hoop, cart from Amazon and have delivered to hotel.

**Branding**
The whole Mini Basketball game will be **branded Lil Nouns**! Multiple flags being hung on the front and sides of the game itself (Pictured above). I will also be redesigning the backboard with a custom designed vinyl decal, designed by a fellow nounish artist in the community!

**Giveaway**

Will giveaway smaller prizes (Basketballs, Stickers, LoFi Noggles) for smaller 1 off games.A tournament will be organized for a pool of **Grand Prizes**! What is the grand prize? ( **Fun Noggles, Lil Nouns, a Nintendo Switch!** ) We will giveaway 3 Lil Nouns to the top 3 winners in the tournament. Grand prize will be the Nintendo Switch!
### Timeframe

16th Jan - Submit proposal to Lil Funding

19th-22nd Jan - Purchase Travel accommodations ( Flight, Hotel, Uber travel, Event ticket)

19th Jan - 1st Feb - Make arrangements for Lil Basketball game activation (secure giveaway balls and stickers, purchase hoop, cart, any any other supplys for activation and send to hotel).

2nd-6th Feb - Attend Gem and Jam. Activate Lil Nouns Basketball game with festival patrons during the morning and afternoon over the course of the weekend!

Feb 6th onwards - continue to utilise the content and metrics/data gathered during the event to proliferate Lil Nouns on socials & alongside others in the community.
