# **Concept**
I suppose I can track the inception of this dream to the first time I realized that I would like to incorporate martial art & anime-style moves into my dancing.
I go to a lot of crazy bass music shows and festivals, and it always felt like I was facing off against the DJ in a battle of attrition. Could I dance to his whole set or would he be too powerful and defeat me? This, coupled with the fact that my music taste could pass as something that has risen from the underworld, caused me to start brainstorming a narrative where dancers square off against corrupted DJs that utilize music to summon beasts and monsters.
Soon after, I realized that common flow toys like hoola hoops, poi and contact staffs really seemed like energy weapons in the hands of a skilled performer. Just as the idea really started to form in my head, I had the epiphany that the demons were not summoned from the underworld, but rather summoned from a VR world.
On top of this I had been spending way too much time listening to **Lex Fridman**, so it was at this point that I knew I had to do something about it.

# **Setting**
Distant future, non-earth but earthlike planet. The current main nation-state of the planet is ruled by a nefarious, power-hungry ex-**seismonaut** named **Ikjith Skladg**. He rules over the **Kinetic Realm**, the **Infraspace**, and by extention effectively the entire **Megaverse** from atop his stronghold, the **Citadel**.
The **Megaverse** is comprised of three main realms:
* The **Kinetic Realm**
What we know to be the standard physical realm.
* The **Infraspace**
The virtual realm of which the creation is unknown, but is where all of the full-dive games and utilities in the world take place. It used to be a peaceful, creative space until the **Skladg Dominion** gained complete and total control over the realm using some undisclosed hacking technique.
* The **Galactasphere**
What we know to be outer space. It encapsulates the system in which the planet resides, as well as all other star systems in the **Megaverse.**

# **Themes**
Below is a brief collection of general themes and philosophies that should go into **Bass Force**. As I mention in the **Art** section however, I would like the show to have a wide and varied reach and approach to artistic direction.

# **Backstory**
For now I will be providing a non-expansive list of information that will help you comprehend what you are about to behold:
* The main landmass of the **Kinetic Realm** is bordered on its entire northern horizon by the suppressive expanse of the **Citadel.** The **Skladg Dominion** rules from this stronghold, molding and shaping both the **Kinetic Realm** and the **Infraspace** to fit their grand design.
* **Mount Parabuloid** and its encompassing foothills cover most of the eastern horizon. This ancient mountain thought to be as old as the **Kinetic Realm** itself, is the ancient burial sight for the last known artifacts of **Womblan**. Deep within its core lies the **Gigavault**, which houses most of the **Megaverse's** supply of **Turbo Crystals** much to **Ikjith's** disdain.
* Atop the mountain lies **Blowoff Peak**, which has served as the **Mistmonk Monastery** for as long as records can indicate. This place has groomed almost every **Seismonaut** to venture into the **Megaverse**. The **Council of the Crucible** did not choose this place on accident, as the altitude is necessary to escape the **Citadel's** hyper-transitory suppression field.
* The majority of the foothills at the base of the mountain are covered in what can only be explained as the **Eternal Forest**. This place that seemingly never rests, is the primary source of the entire **Kinetic Realm's** supply of **flowforce**. Finally, the western and southern shores of the **Kinetic Realm** are surrounded by the endless fathoms of the **Dire Sea.**
* It is unclear exactly when this happened, but **Ikjith Skladg** and his **Dominion** seized control of the **Infraspace**, turning it into a malificent manifestion of nightmare.
* Long ago before the **Citadel** gained control of the **Infraspace**, there was a peaceful, harmonious time known as the **Age of Plur**. this time was said to have begun at some point within the **Womblan Era**, following the creation of the **Infraspace**.
* The **Bass Force** operates from a gigantic, Infracybernetic warp-cocoon known as the **Orb Lair**. In the **Kinetic Realm,** they have secured a base station for the **Orb Lair** deep within a subterranean chasm that can only be accessed from the cave systems known as **Whale's Wake**. This trecherous, secluded location can be found somewhere along the south shore of the **Dire Sea**, and it is thought by **Anubis the Priest** to have some unknown importance related to the creation of the **Infraspace**.

# **Characters**
* The show will feature various distinct subsets of characters and communities, and it will launch with a baseline of seven core groups. These will be the **Protagonist Squad, Hero DJs, Villain DJs, Council of the Crucible, Chads, NPCs,** and the **Witches of the Eternal Forest**.
**Today I will be giving an overview of four of these groups:**
The main **Protagonist Squad** is a group of six video-gaming, festival-going, flow artist friends. Each one of the kids learns how to wield and manipulate their own signature **Flow Weapon** throughout the series.
The names of these kids and their respective **Flow Weapons** are as follows:
* **Aizen - Hyperlight Gloves**
* **Qwin - Karbon Staff**
* **Nadilee - Hoola Chakrams**
* **Roninn - Buugeng Blades**
* **Khyra - Aura Poi**
* **"Two-Buck" Chuck** (working title) - No flow weapon because he cannot dance. Does his best to help with his kendama. He calls it the **Kinetic Kendama** and has specifically asked me to type that in bold. Highschool friend of the squad. Think Krillin or Squid from Rocket Power.

Initially, the **Hero DJs** making up the **Bass Force** will consist of 9 members planned to be revealed as the show progresses:
* **Waveweaver**
The weapon-less entity known in some systems by the name of **Waveweaver** is a rogue **Mistmonk Seismonaut**.
Disobeying his oath to **The First Ones** of **Mount Parabuloid**, he seeks to investigate a potential data leak channeled to him from **Aes**. The ancient shaman claims that it could be the source of the harmonious resonance feedback loop exhibited by the **Gigavault** deep within the mountain.
The legends of **Womblan** describe a clan of humans that will be capable of channeling infrasonic frequencies in order to transmute the energy of a **Turbo Crystal**, molding it into a legendary **Flow Weapon** of myth. If this scripture turns out to be coming of age, it could provide the massive amount of firepower required to capitulate the **Citadel** once and for all.
* **Galactic Overlord**
The only lifeform in the **Megaverse** who has a more badass suit than the **Waveweaver**.
His true identity is unknown, however **The Mekon** has deduced from archived brainwaves that he has likely spent significant time in a secluded star system somewhere within the dark-sector quadrant of **MASQ-09**. It is a well-held belief througout the **Galactasphere** that anywhere a gravitational wake can be sensed, the **Galactic Overlord** is only a transient-burst warpdrive away.
Although willingly working with the **Bass Force** (thanks mainly in part do to the convincing of **Hypermilla**), the Overlord has his own vision for the potential usecase of the **Turbo Crystals** locked within the **Gigavault**. He claims that with enough **flowforce** energy and a unique arrangement of **Turbo Crystals**, it will be possible to initiate a theoretical **Galactic Rollback** and return the **Galactasphere** back to its initial Point-Source Fragment.
In theory, this will allow anyone who is able to remain conscious in the aftermath to reshape the entire structure of the **Megaverse**. There is nothing whatsoever the **Galactic Overlord** would not risk in order to achieve this feat for himself.
* **Cybertooth K.A.T.**
This agile assassin of the **Infraspace** is not the **K.A.T.** you want to cross on the prowl. The self-proclaimed "King of the Jungle" has an armory that features dual **XK-1337** sonic-powered, **flowforce**-reactive **Laserblades** to quickly and silently execute the opposition. These highly calibrated initiators, combined with his prototype **C.H-(3,3)-T/R** bionetic sprint-force vectordrives make him capable of eliminating a target before they can even feel his aura.
Additionally, when his flux capacitors breach the overchage threshold, he is capable of administering a powerful **Cybertooth Chomp** to immediately incapacitate any robotic target. The beta version of the **Fangware.kat** nanovirus uploaded by his fang drives doubles as a bootstrap to hack the mainframe of various lesser appliances.
Normally a cuthroat vigilante for hire, he has accepted the call to join the **Bass Force** due to his conviction that he knows which darkmatter vortex the **Womblan Tome** is sealed within. Nobody knows the **Infraspace** better than a **K.A.T.**, and no **K.A.T.** knows their way around a pair of **Laserblades** like the **Cybertooth**.
* **The Mekon**
Class-A extraterrestrial that made the journey to join the **Bass Force** from a **Silent-era** forgotten planet, known in the common tongue as **Venus** of the **Sol System**. In his Eye, the rebooting of the **Waveweaver** acts as a harbinger for the rebirth of the **Age of Plur** foreshadowed within the ancient **Tablets of Womblan**.
Capable of manipulating immense brainwaves not limited to his own, **The Mekon** is able to deconstruct and disable his target(s) perception(s) of reality. He is bound by time only within the **Kinetic Realm,** uniquely enabling him to **Astral Travel** to a wide variety of historically significant epochs. This skillset continues to prove invaluable to the **Bass Force**, as it allows them to scour the Sands of Time searching for ancient keys to the mystery held deep within **Mount Parabuloid**.
The efforts of **Anubis the Priest** and **The Mekon** towards deciphering the cryptic scriptures laid forth within the ancient **Womblic Tombs** is quickly becoming one of the most dire priorities of the entire **Bass Force**.
* **Anklefist**
Fists like ankles, Ankles like fists.
The **State-cell** of this titan from an unknown race has been in a medical **Kryo Drive** ever since his existence was confirmed by the **Bass Force**. The only pertinent information that can be gathered from his datalog is that he was unearthed from a long-forgotten collapse of a **Steel-era** Sludge mine.
Mental capabilities are as-of-yet unknown, but his physical stature seems as though it could come out of an interplanetary collison on the better side of things.
* **Hypermilla**
"*Hi-PURR-meh-luh*."
No one is quite sure the extent or limitations of her powers, however the **Seismonauts** of **Mount Parabuloid** are fairly certain they are enormous.
She is surely one of the earliest and oldest members of the **Bass Force**, having spent most of her time foregoing her incalculable sonic power to focus on politics and subterfuge. Long time friend and confidant of **Galactic Overlord**, the running theory is that she too has once resided somewhere within the quadrant of **MASQ-09**.
Although many potential possibilities have been weighed, it seems that the main reason **Hypermilla** has colluded with the **Bass Force** is that she believes the members can be of assistance in allowing her to usurp **Ikjith Skladg** from his throne atop the **Citadel**.
* **Goop Wizard**
"*You do NOT want to go in there!*"
* **Anubis the Priest**
The founding member and prime initiator of the **Bass Force**.
After discovering a prophecy buried deep within an ancient **Womblic Temple** millenia ago, he has made it his purpose to uncover and fascilitate the Truth. He built the **Bass Force** in order to retrieve the mythical **Womblan Tome** from the **Infraspace**, capitulate the **Citadel**, and bring forth the true return of the **Age of Plur**.
The Priest is one of the leading scholars on the histories of **Womblan**, spending a great deal of his existence researching and decoding the ancient scrolls. He is said to be one of the only remaining lifeforms to possess key pieces of the codex information to the **Womblan Tome**. This cannot be confirmed however, due to **Anubis** keeping his most revelatory findings hidden in his library "until the Time has come".

One planned side arc in the first season will be to introduce the **Witches of the Eternal Forest**. These unaging, whimsical dieties are rumored to have been born alongside the budding of the **Eternal Forest**, located in the foothills of **Mount Parabuloid**.
It is unclear when exactly the budding took place, however **The Mekon** believes that it could quite possibly pre-date the **Womblan Era**. We cannot be sure, for the "Wonderful Witches" (as they love to call themselves), only speak in riddle and tongue and have an intellect that is quite possibly the direct inverse to that of **Anklefist**.
* ***NOTE:** All characters listed above will probably look and act pretty much exactly like what you would think that they do be.*

# **Structure**
(*This section will be updated as more information becomes available to the public.*)
**For the sake of time, I will be laying down the general outline for the first main narrative arc within a short-form bullet point structure. Many plot points and character developments will be omitted from this section as of the current time.**
* The first few episodes will focus on structuring the world, the relationships between the kids, and the dystopian government narrative. The first main plot point is the upcoming week-long yearly music festival **Raeon Skies**, held in the meadows of the **Eternal Forest**.
* The **Protagonist Squad** goes to this festival every year, and always keep up-to-date with what artists are going to perform. This year however, something is very disturbing about the lineup. the Headliner appears to be **Psynkraoh** - a known Juggernaut within the ranks of the **Citadel's Army**.
* The squad has recently been dealing with the increasingly tight lockdown on the **Infrasphere** brought down upon it by the vision of **Ikjith Skladg** atop the **Citadel**. This knowledge combined with the presence of **Psynkraoh** at **Raeon Skies**, could point towards some insidious plan within **Ikjith's** grand design. Something that could relate to the **Infrasphere** and **The Eternal Forest**.
* Meanwhile, the **Waveweaver** has just awoken from his seance with **Aes** at the peak of **Mount Parabuloid**. Today will be the day that he attempts to flee his promise to the fellowship, and track down a lead brought to his attention by the **Ancient Ethereal Shaman**. the Shaman is certain that the **Turbo Crystals** inside the **Gigavault** have been experiencing a subsonic anomaly. This occurance is scarily accurate to that described in the studies of the **Womblic Scrolls**, carefully dissected by **The Mekon** and **Anubis the Priest**.
* the **Waveweavers** mission is to escape the watch of the **Council of the Crucible** atop **Blowoff Peak**. Discracing his oath to **The First Ones**, he plans a course towards the **Eternal Forest**. He knows that if there is anywhere information can be gathered about a potential **flowforce**-reactive group of humans, it will surely be at **Raeon Skies**.
* The first thing that the **Waveweaver** intends to do before arriving, is seek out a long lost friend from before his initiation into the **Seismonauts**. To have a chance at finding out whatever is causing the anomaly in the **Gigavault**, he will need to build a team of exceptionally skilled sonic hunters from the ground up. With this in mind, he heads directly towards the place he is confident he will find the **Cybertooth K.A.T.**

* **Cybertooth** and the **Waveweaver** make it to **Raeon Skies** just in time to get inside before the set of **Psynkraoh**. Immediately, they can sense that something is definitely amiss with the aura of the **Eternal Forest**. just as the legends foretold and as **Psynkraoh** begins to play, it appears as though he intends to summon grotesque **Infrademons** from the **Infraspace!** Utilizing some form of subsonic ritual, **Ikjith** has tasked his Juggernaut to unleash the Infrasonic armies compiled by **Professor Zonby** and **Doctor Mandible**. This plan is surely designed to take control of the **Eternal Forest** from within.
* Our hero duo attempts to defeat the onslaught and protect the civilians in the crowd, however it seems as though they are beginning to be outnumbered considerably. Luckily for them and just as all hope seems lost, the hypersonic crackle of a transient-burst warpdrive begins to pierce through the infrasonic bombardment of **Psynkraoh**. just above the stage, the telltale sign of a charging **Hyperbeam** blinds everyone in sight and completely decimates one of the key pieces of **Psynkraoh's Force-Funktion** summoning technology. After the impact, the assailant is revealed to be none other than **Galactic Overlord** as he descends from his spaceship.
* Together, the trio manage to push back the advances of **Psynkraoh** as he retreats back within the **Infraspace**. In the aftermath of the battle the entirety of **Raeon Skies** is in shambles. The **Eternal Forest** seems to be wilting, and the only remaining people who did not immediately flee the scene are a small group of what seem to be dancers. It is a miracle that they have survived and what's more, **Cybertooth's** 3rd-generation **K.A.T.-I** optical Infrasensors can clearly distinguish a disturbance in their Infrasonic-gravitory field matrix.
* **Galactic Overlord** urges **Waveweaver** and the **Cybertooth** to secure the children, and join him on his spaceship in attending to an urgent matter at hand. After a brief trip around **Mount Parabuloid**, the trio and the kids arrive at **Whale's Wake**. As the Overlord effortlessly navigates the trecherous tunnel network, the ship eventually breaches a large chasm and descends upon the **Orb Lair.**
* Once inside, they are met with the remaining conscious members of the **Bass Force.** **Hypermilla, The Mekon, Anubis the Priest,** and unfortunately **Goop Wizard**. **The Mekon** and **Hypermilla** brief the surviving members of what would become known as the *Shadowfall at Aeon Skies*, about recent findings regarding the ancient legends of **Womblan**. They tell our heros about the mythical **Womblan Tome**, and how the ancient mastermind that sealed it within an **Infraspace** darkmatter vortex seems freakishly accurate to the description of **Ikjith Skladg**.
* The completed **Bass Force** and the kids devise a plan to approach the **Seismonauts** that comprise the **Council of the Crucible** atop **Mount Parabuloid.** Their goal is simple: unlock the **Gigavault** and retrieve the **Turbo Crystals** from within it in order to fullfill the ancient prophecy and bring forth the true return of the **Age of Plur.**

* The main goal throughout the second+ season(s) is to release the **Waveweaver's State-cell** from the **Subsonic Kryo Drive**. **Ikjith** plans to use it in some unknown way to release an **Infrasonic Gravitational Wake** throughout the entirety of the **Megaverse**.

# **Art**
If I had to use one word to describe my desired art direction, it would be **Collage**.
Firstly, I believe it is obvious that the show will rely heavily on musical content and talent. This is a great opportunity to utilize the show as a platform to promote an eclectic and varied selection of music artists from a wide spectrum of genres. There will be general soundtrack material, as well as fully coreographed fight scene material. These scenes will feature special guests who provide the thematic typing and sound design of the **Villian DJs** and the monsters that they summon. These cameos can be as artist's actual musical identity or otherwise.
This type of soapbox style artistic direction would also apply well to the visual design. I would love to feature a long list of extremely talented physical and virtual artists within the show. Ideally we will have entire episodes that exclusively feature a particular artists style, even so far as varying considerably from the base art.

What does **K.A.T.** stand for?
* **Kinetic Aura Transmission**. it is the training that every **K.A.T.** must go through in order to augment their physical form with **Infratech**.
Who is **Aes?**
* The **Ancient Ethereal Shaman** is actually an arbiter for the mystical alien race that once hailed from **Womblan**, and manifested the **Turbo Crystals**. They utilized the first **Supersonic Turbo Crystals** to create what is now known as the **Infraspace**, and subsequently lost control of it to the **Citadel**.
This loss ultimately led to the fall of the **First Age of Plur**, resulting from **Ikjith Skladg** locking away the **Womblan Tome** within an unknown darkmatter vortex in the deepest catacombs of his now-controlled **Infraspace**.
What is the **Waveweaver?**
* The **Waveweaver** is actually a cybernetic A.I. with a **Supersonic Turbo Crystal** at its core. It was created by **Aes** in order to summon the remaining members of the **Bass Force**, in the hopes of finding and mentoring the mythical clan of humans that hold the potential to usher in the return of the legendary **Flow Weapons**.
What about **Thegostep??**
* I will just say that the **Council of the Crucible** of the **Mistmonk** fellowship have lived at the peak of **Mount Parabuloid** for nearly a millenia. They utilize the altitude to escape the hyper-transitory suppression field broadcasted by the **Citadel**, which drowns out any attempt to perform their manifesting rituals. They have not managed to endure this long without a cunning leader.

With the help of the **Bass Force**, the flow kids will inevitably release the **Megaverse** from the titanic grasp of the **Citadel**. They may even manage to free the **Waveweaver's State-cell** from the endless statelessness of **Ikjith's Subsonic Kryo Drive**.
Our journey needn't stop there, however. We could go full-dive mode, following **Cybertooth K.A.T.** deeper into the subsonic depths of the **Infraspace**. Or we could have **Galactic Overlord** set a trajectory for **Hyperspace**, leaving our homeworld for even wilder adventures throughout the endless voids of the **Galactasphere**.
