# International Paper Sizes A0, A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8, A9, A10 The most common international paper size standard is the ISO 216 standard, which includes the commonly used [A4 size](https://wedesignmarbella.com/a4-paper-size/ "A4 Paper Size"). This makes it easy to scale documents up or down without changing the aspect ratio. A0: The largest size in the series. **>** A1: Half the size of A0. **>** A2: Half the size of A1. **>** A3: Half the size of A2. **>** A4: The most common size for general printing and letterhead stationery. **>** A5: Half the size of A4. **>** A6: Half the size of A5. **>** A7: Half the size of A6. **>** A8: Half the size of A7. **>**  A9: Half the size of A8. **>** A10: Half the size of A9. ## B Series: **The B series of paper sizes** is primarily used for posters and other large format printing. **Here are the dimensions of some of the most common B sizes:** * B0: 1000mm x 1414mm (39.37in x 55.67in) * B1: 707mm x 1000mm (27.83in x 39.37in) * B2: 500mm x 707mm (19.69in x 27.83in) * B3: 353mm x 500mm (13.90in x 19.69in) * B4: 250mm x 353mm (9.84in x 13.90in) * B5: 176mm x 250mm (6.93in x 9.84in) * B6: 125mm x 176mm (4.92in x 6.93in) * B7: 88mm x 125mm (3.46in x 4.92in) * B8: 62mm x 88mm (2.44in x 3.46in) * B9: 44mm x 62mm (1.73in x 2.44in) * B10: 31mm x 44mm (1.22in x 1.73in) As you can see, the **B series** sizes are larger than the A series sizes, making them ideal for posters, blueprints, and other large format documents. ## C Series: **The C series** of paper sizes is primarily used for envelopes. **Here are the dimensions of some of the most common C sizes:** * C0: 1200mm x 860mm (47.24in x 33.86in) * C1: 860mm x 610mm (33.86in x 24.02in) * C2: 610mm x 430mm (24.02in x 16.93in) * C3: 430mm x 305mm (16.93in x 12.01in) * C4: 305mm x 220mm (12.01in x 8.66in) * C5: 220mm x 162mm (8.66in x 6.38in) * C6: 162mm x 114mm (6.38in x 4.49in) * C7: 114mm x 81mm (4.49in x 3.19in) * C8: 81mm x 57mm (3.19in x 2.24in) * C9: 57mm x 40mm (2.24in x 1.57in) * C10: 40mm x 28mm (1.57in x 1.10in) **The C series** is designed to fit the corresponding A series paper size when folded in half. For example, a C4 envelope will fit an A4 sheet of paper folded in half. -- **Note:** The exact dimensions of these paper sizes vary depending on the country and region. However, the aspect ratio (width to height) remains the same for all sizes within a series. -- **Find out more about** [North American paper sizes](https://hackmd.io/@wedesignmarbella/north-american-paper-sizes) -- ***Read full** [International Paper Sizes](https://wedesignmarbella.com/international-paper-sizes-a0-a1-a2-a3-a4-a5/ "International Paper Sizes") post written by [Web Design Marbella](https://wedesignmarbella.com/ "Web Design Marbella").*
