# Superchain Audit Service Providers
The Optimism Foundation provides Audit Grants, subject to the approval of the Optimism Developer Advisory Board, to subsidize security audits for projects building on the Superchain. Projects work with whitelisted Audit Service Providers (ASPs) who apply for grants on their behalf, enabling funding for essential security work.

## How to become an allowlisted Audit Service Provider?
You can apply for your company to become an ASP by [submitting an application](https://forms.gle/ovfwg1ScpzixqcKW6). We'll review and reply to your application within 3-5 business days.
## What is and Audit Grant?
Audits normally are a significant expense in deploying contracts; and without sufficient startup capital, projects might seek alternative financing or risk using less reputable auditors, potentially leading to unsafe deployments: Hence, being able to subsidize audit fees is crucial for secure, and successful deployments.
While traditional grants are often locked up for over a year, Audits Grants can provide immediate support for essential auditing work.
## How does the process work?
1. A Project contacts an Audit Service Providers (ASP).
2. The ASP applies for an Audit Grant on behalf of the Project.
3. The Developer Advisory Board reviews the request for the Audit Grant.
4. If the Grant is approved, the ASP conducts the audit, ensuring secure and compliant contracts.
