# ASD onboarding workshop #3 prep worksheet

The following items should be completed (or at least attempt to be completed) before the 3rd ASD workshop at 6PM on Friday.

The reason is that there will be a pair-programming portion of the workshop, and having these items completed beforehand means that we will be able to focus on more advanced topics during the pair-programming portion.

- [x] Download the [VScode IDE](https://code.visualstudio.com/download)
- [x] Download a VNC Client ([guide](https://git.uwaterloo.ca/WATonomous/wato_monorepo#vnc))
- [x] Follow some of the non-deprecated instruction from our [monorepo setup guide](https://git.uwaterloo.ca/WATonomous/wato_monorepo/-/blob/develop/docs/setup.md)
- [x] Follow the [Teleport Server Access](/SdLkkEwsTxa4OFlyAlLnhA) guide and be able to access at least one of the nodes on the WATCloud. Post in [#tech-support](https://discord.com/channels/478659303167885314/478663865366872074) if you run into any issues.
- [x] Make sure you can use Teleport with the remote development extension in VSCode
- [x] Clone our [monorepo](https://git.uwaterloo.ca/watonomous/wato_monorepo) to your home directory on one of the machines in WATCloud using SSH or Teleport
