- If you don't have edit access on the [WATonomous hackmd team ](https://hackmd.io/@watonomous) and you want to contribute, please message Arjun at [e-mail] and he will add you
## Creating a new note
- Click on the plus button in the top navbar to create a new note:

- Click on the Both (double pane) button to start editing the note, you can see the results of your note on the right pane

- Type your documentation in the text area

- Use HackMD's styling tab to style your text as you wish

- You can also use markdown to style your text

## Adding the note to the book
- Add your new note to the [**WATonomous Docs Book**](https://hackmd.io/doO5NM5ETPuQ50FE6neZJQ?view)
- Do this by creating a new list item that links to your new note
- See the [hackmd book docs](https://hackmd.io/s/how-to-create-book) fo rmore information
- To create a new section simply write your new section's title
- Not as a list item
- Add three dashes (---) under your section's title
- Link to the new notes in this new section in a list under this new section title
